I was recently at Kuhns Equipment in Gibson City Illinois and they were setting up this new Fendt 1050 tractor with LSW tires and White 36 row planter. This unit will soon be in the field.
@@JoeKersey Indeed. It seems like you can't even compete anymore as a farmer unless you've got millions of dollars worth of equipment at your disposal. Between Monsanto's Terminator seed and tractors being all computerised now makes it so that I don't even want to be a farmer anymore, yet it was a dream of mine when I was a kid.
Oh, I still have my farm toys down in the basement. The tractors The elevators. The balers. The little wagons. The corn harvester that fits down over the tractor to harvest the corn. My grandson thinks this is a joke. It's a joke that lets him eat.
Fendt and Deutz Fahr area easily some of the sexiest looking tractors out there. Comparing a Fendt with a Case IH is like comparing a Ferrari with a Chevy. It's just too bad that modern Ag equipment is all computerized, and Fendt is the last company that would ever prove to be the exception to that rule.
Give me a JD 7000 planter and a 4020 and then tell me who makes more per acre..I am a downer on new paint...We have over 10 tractors that are 40 years old...
Mike, do you know what air pressure they’re running in those LSW tires? I’m going to need to replace the duals front and rear on my planter tractor and I’m really intrigued by the LSW setup. I would be curious to know if there is a difference in stand counts in the rows behind the tractor compared to the other rows. Thanks for the info and the great videos! Keep ‘em coming!
Not even close, bro. Fendt is like the Ferrari of tractors. I would have said Lamborghini, but they started out as a tractor company, and they're not nearly as good as one of these, so meh. Comparing them to BMWs is an insult to Fendt lol.
