Hey bud, this a fantastic setup, do you have a parts list of your lights, like the traffic controller, dash lights, hide aways, and where you got them from? I've been on a 2 day search now trying to find a good combo to go with this controller to no avail.
Thanks! There is a full list of all the parts in full walkthrough video of the truck which is a little further back on my channel. Heres the link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dT7klpVYaso.html
good evening Lucas, i live on the north shore of Boston and I'm in the middle of a set up with the Fenix typhoon handheld and a bunch of Fenix fusion surface mount amber/white and the 800 stick amber/white I've run into more problems with this install its driving me crazy, I'm wondering if its possible i could get in touch with you some how and have you go over a few things with me as there really isn't to many people in this area that seem to know as much as you do, this would be a huge huge help to me and i would really appreciate it, please let me know and whatever i need to do for you to get in touch with me i will do thanx again and I really look forward to hearing from you
Sure, check out the description in my video of the entire setup, or find the video here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dT7klpVYaso.html I’ve listed out all parts in that description. Thanks!
It’s holding up fine. No moisture issues at all, no performance issues at all. The powdercoat on the aluminum isn’t doing as well as I want. It’s chalked and peeled in a few spots on the front face, but it also takes a wicked beating being 18” off the ground directly in the front of the truck. Definitely room for improvement on the finish though.
I believe you’re asking me about the bottom right button that turns off all functions? If that’s the case, it’s simply programming in the Feniex app. I programmed that button to be a momentary button and when pressed, will turn off ALL other activated buttons. Similar to how you can program a single button to activate a group of buttons (i.e. the slide switch) you can also program a button to deactivate. Hope that answers your question!
Could the 4200 be used for off road lighting in a Jeep ? I’ve got some pods I need a controller for and will eventually add more. The fuse panel isn’t water proof is it?
Fuse panel isn't waterproof, but sure the controller itself could be use for jeep lighting. I might take a look at the 4200 Mini as a good option for you.
How do you connect your controller to your phone for the Bluetooth? Ive tried pairing the devices but my phone can't find it even when I'm sitting in the truck.
When you open the Feniex App, there’s a red circle with the word “connect” in the top right corner. Press that and then the screen flips to a white connection screen, press “scan” on the bottom left and then select “4200” when it appears. Then it’ll flip back to your controller and you’ll see a green circle in the top right corner. Good to go. You don’t do anything in the Bluetooth settings on the phone, just in the app.
Do you have to scan and connect every time you want to use the app on your phone? Because right now even after talking to tech support thats the only way I can get it to work. Ontop of that i have to relable my entire controller on the app.
@@loganbtetz1325 Yes you will need to scan and connect every time you use the app if you've closed the app between uses. I labeled the buttons in the app once and they've never changed.
I bought a Home Patrol Cradle (part #BCKHP-1) and attached that to a Diamond Ball Mount (amzn.to/33JOXCN). The hole mounting pattern lined up perfectly. Then I used a RAM Flex arm (amzn.to/36AhA7f) mounted to the inside seat bolt and adjusted it to where I wanted it. The Diamond Ball Mount locks into the flex arm ball socket and lets you pivot the Scanner to a comfortable position, and then you can lock it in. Works great and is low key.
