*eye rolls as the people who claim he does this for views when he literally could've titled this video "Leonardo Dicaprio's stepbrother blahblah.."* keep up with the informative content!
after watching these alot the past couple weeks i personally dont understand how people could see this as exploitative. Mark as far as I gathered does alot of outreach and he's literally humanizing these people that most people see as scary or just trouble. Someone needs to do this.
Exactly.....I think he does it to show a view of addiction and to help people. Sometimes he comes off sarcastic or rude but I think it's just his personality blunt or unaware of how his comments come off.
Uh what? Soooooooo, the guy that goes out and finds subjects to interview, then post them on RU-vid doesn't do it for views? Nice take genius. I can tell you'll never have a business of your own LOL... And neither will the other 125 complete morons who liked your most hottest of the "hot takes"
Hey just an FYI, I looked him up. Everything he said is true about his mom, Leonardo Dicaprio, his step dad George Dicaprio, etc.! I was amazed! He really did earn money in television commercials and there are pictures of him online!
To all the people who are saying that Leo should help him he probably has tried already. He’s probably burnt that bridge because he’s an addict. You can only help someone so many times before they have to help themselves. They have to want to get clean for themselves. Just because Leo isn’t helping now doesn’t mean he hasn’t or want to. He’s probably hurt by his brother.

This channel is so amazing. You find a video of a guy, seemingly just going to be another typical story and out of nowhere you find an amazing story like this. Lesson learned. There is no "typical" drug addict. Their life as experiences are as unique and interesting as they are. Thanks for finding these often buried treasures Mark.
A comeback?😄. Na, this guy is working up to become a drag on the system. Disable, get clean and get a job. Sucking off the government while whining about how things are set up against him? I have no sympathy for guys like this .
1000blabbities The ones like Adam that come from good families and have a decent education get really good at telling “their story”. They’ve spent their entire drug life in and out of rehab telling that story. Most would easily get jobs as Drug Counselors
I was prescribed fentanyl for 15 years and thought I’d never get off it. I got down to the lowest dose which was 12mmg and went cold turkey ( not advisable). Three years later I’m still clean. A tough road but it can be done.
@Grey Line... wow 15 years with that drug. I am so truly proud of u!! There will be many more tough obstacles in life but PLEASE stay strong with ur sobriety. U owe it to yourself & whatever family u have in your life. God Bless You!!! I will continuously pray for u. U deserve it!!! 🥰
@@adamsmola5493 We should make this viral because he is tentatively connected to someone famous? I think not. Everyone on this channel deserves to go viral. And Leonardo is not responsible for him. He is a grown adult.
This guy basically was handed a stepbrother who became one of the most famous actors of our generation and he just threw it away. I could have done so much in that spot lol.
Stop saying Leo should help him clearly he trusted him with business & I’m sure much more wasn’t mentioned... you have to want to get help & I hope he does want that soon 🙏🏾
Period. WANTING sobriety is the battle. Most simply do not want to get sober because they're comfortable in the chaos and fear change, the unknown, and most just cannot admit to themselves they're addicts, or do and just accept the lifestyle and the fact their fate will be jails, institutions and death. Addicts like myself refuse any authority, and sobriety requires accountability, and accepting help from somebody who's been in their shoes. What they fail to understand is drugs/alcohol is just a symptom, the disease is the mindset, their thinking is heavily flawed.
This man acts almost like normal. I can see him pulling his life back together. I hope he gives himself a real chance to change his life. His daughter needs him.
I feel bad for the daughter. I bet she couldn’t care less about the pool and the screening room and would rather be with / be able to contact her parents...
yep it can happen to anyone and nobody is "better than" addiction. Addiciton fucks with your survival instincts and that's an intrinsic part of human nature that elitism can't change.
He REALLY IS Leonardo's step brother.. I met him and his beautiful girlfriend who had a child with him. Even though I was using heroin then and so we're the at the time.. about 3 years ago right off of 8th St and Gardner off the on ramp of the freeway.. we partied in these tents that were there. They were really nice and generous people, compared to most of the other addicts that are homeless they are usually scandalous but Adam and his baby mama were a class act much like myself.. lol.. seriously rare to find people who are not bitter and jaded etc . I wish him and his the best. GOD BLESS U GUYS!! XXOO
You can just tell this man is a pretty cool human being. I hope he can make the changes he needs to live a better life ❤ Sending love from Sonoma County!
His explanation about choosing the drug lifestyle, and what comes along with that lifestyle, other than just taking the drug itself, just made so much more sense that any other addict that I’ve heard speak on here. It’s an insight into the mind of what a conscious user thinks.
It's truly a lifestyle.. s horrible crappy one but it's still all the same.. I completely connected with his story..... no matter what at the end of the day all opioid users were all the same. We use because we like getting high, unfortunately untill the high gets its claws in and now the high controls everything.... it's a true love that you hate more than anything on earth.. 😢
I was chewing those patches back in 2007, as a friend advised this would help me kick oxycodone withdrawals... Another huge mistake of my life and the first and only time I overdosed in a bathroom in the middle of cosmetology class, praying in a stall God please don't let me die here.
@@lsuzicosbw644 wow. I'm speechless. There's no doubt in my mind at all I would be dead today if my addiction didn't finally have me serving jail time. The day I went to court my children were taken into custody, and to say that time was hell for me cannot compare with what they endured, and they certainly didn't deserve it. I did a residential program that was 8 hoursx5 days a week classes, regular meetings, full time program. Of course, you've got to WANT recovery just as bad, meaning you'll do whatever it takes. Most addicts like myself cannot tolerate any authority, much less curfews, surrending your money to savings and getting an allowance for food, bus, etc. There's no limit to what I would do to not get sick. I've had 3 relapses since 2008, the last one I ended up homeless and alone on the beach. I got sober in a homeless shelter that had a life recovery program and I followed it with everything I had. It can be done, you can recover, you can be free. I should be dead, I've lost so many friends to overdose, and I don't know why I'm not dead. Overdosing in a bathroom stall, convulsing, fighting to breathe, I just remember thinking I'm begging God please don't let me go.I don't have any memory what happened afterwards but apparently I went back to class. I binge watch these videos and I'm every one of these girls inside. And I swear to you if I can recover anybody can. We get conformable in chaos, but eventually the thought of a day i could ever wake up and not chase drugs as soon as my eyes open, not having to hustle and grind all day long, I was willing to do whatever it took to make it stop, or I was going to kill myself, either way, I was completely done. There's no substitute for living a full 24 hours clean. NOTHING compares to it. That light you see shines inside of you, it's always there, you've got to be willing to take the path of uncertainty, trusting and knowing you deserve a life worth living, and it's not easy, but don't ever give up. I've been clean for many years now and I still have cravings and that's why I still work my recovery with a sponsor, and I keep myself busy for the remainder of the day. I don't dwell on my past, and I don't project my future, I keep myself right now, because all that matters is right now. I pray you'll acknowledge today your life is worth living.
@@atomicstyle7344 yeah I've never ever seen whatever is out there now. The patches are bad enough, can't even imagine what they've got their hands on... SMH
This guy is amazing. So smart and driven.. addiction can really tear someone away from who they inherently are. I hope he finds his way. I can really envision him doing something great, possibly making an actual difference with his story.
Very intelligent guy. Witty and likeable. He would make an amazing actor. Has all the lifes experiences for it. He could have talked shit about his famous brother and family but he kept it classy. I respect him for that I hope he and his wife can get it together to at least have some kind of relationship with that little girl of theirs who I'm sure would love to have her mom and dad sober and in her life. Good luck to them all.
you can do It Adam, you are worth it and still have A LOT to live for. Wishing you the best, get the help you need, it's available if you want it. You're smart and intelligent, I have faith in you, you just need to believe in yourself and commit to overcoming your addiction.
I hope you find the courage to go through the withdrawal Adam. You'll be sick, for sure, but you can choose to see it as some sort of virus you caught, and in a short while, it will pass. And the gain will be so very much worth it, and you are worth it too!
I really hope you can get clean and go through the process of recovery Adam! You have so much potential to do great things... don't let the drugs ruin it! Hope you're doing well!
Adam Farrar, as he says...He was honest in saying he likes the high that drugs give... He is mentioned in lots of newspaper interviews as Leo's step brother....The past couple of years Leo has refused to speak to him...Suzie 🇦🇺☮️🌼p.s I live in Australia & skid row is quite an unusual & terrifying place it seems....we have homeless people, but not during daylight hours like this....it's heartbreaking..
@A Rose God that's awful...Are they building tent cities like this, or are they hanging in the city during the day?... They tend to hang near the Perth train station( where their friends gather etc) ,Cops on bikes move them on...Apparently after dark the homeless set up outside Dept stores....Before trading begins....they have to be gone.....🌼
The majority of Mark’s interviews are sad yet incredibly fascinating but some hit harder then others. This is one of them that particular breaks my heart..& it has nothing to do with the fact that his brother is Leo. I really hope he is able to overcome this awful battle 🙏🏼
Interesting video, first time I've seen a addict that is what he calls functional and that can act & pass as a non drug user. He has a hard road ahead of him as well. It won't be easy, but I pray for him and he can make it.
This guy shared his story and I commend that. It's a brave thing to do. The issue I have is that he said he feels conspired against by the system when it comes to custody. He also said hes working on getting housing, they are staying at a hotel. No matter 20,000 or more, a sound judge is not going to give you custody until you have a routine. A job, sobriety or atleast an effort, stable housing. Again I dont know the full story and not acting like I do. But there is a reason. It's not entirely the "system," when there isn't safety or stability involved. He seems like a guy that wants to do it and I wish him all the best. I hope one day he is able to reunite with his daughter and make all his best efforts come true.
M R Agree. Except for the part where you say it isn’t “entirely” the systems fault. It is in “no way” the systems fault. Adam is feeling sorry for himself. Sorry that people didn’t want Normandie to be in some rundown hotel and alone when she finds out her father was arrested and her mother OD’d in some other junkies hotel room next door. It’s absolutely insane that Adam would think his mother is wrong to have taken his daughter. And that thinking is exactly why Adam and Charity do not have Normandie.
@@cateellington6653 I meant that he was passing blame thru his words. Its not the system. In fact it sounds like the system is working correctly in this particular scenario
The reason why he accepted this interview is precisely because he's an actor and can't help loving the camera. I love that he is so open and doesn't give a shit about having a public video out there where he goes by "Fentanyl Addict". This man is Adam Farrar, google him and you'll see everything you need to know.
I had a friend, female, who became alcoholic because of a lot of socially stuff... She started to take too much kilos, sugar in blood and an addiction. He doctor said it direct to her, and she stopped, she didn't understand what was happening to her. Thanks God it was not too late for her...
He has a great presence and voice, he reminds me of Dennis Hopper. there is one hell of an actor right there..I wish him well, he is obviously a great bloke.
Dude is telling his story in regard to being a current drug addict, and cries about the system conspiring to not giving him custody of his daughter. Look in the mirror homie. There's your conspiracy.
0sum gamezzz Totally agree waste of oxygen, waste of skin so much he could have done with his life and all he wants to do is get high and neglect his child.
@@Leandatastic Right, how does he go on record stating that this is the lifestyle he likes and chooses? Then, in the next breath, whine because the powers that be won't let his kid partake in her dad's destructive life choice. Yet many in this forum are singing his praises. Whatever...
I hope he’s able to get sober. He seemed a bit confused when he said his family has conspired to keep his daughter yet he is on skid row sleeping in a stairwell.
Everyone is writing a comment about what he should do, how he should live, what opportunities are available, etc... except, everyone is forgetting the crucial fact that nobody has experienced his life *through* his lens. *It's much easier to be an armchair therapist than to be the one making changes.* If you haven't even had his type of addiction, then please don't speak as if you have.
I don't understand why he's using money on a lawyer at all. If he's not clean he's never going to get his daughter back. Apparently his wife is living the same lifestyle so I don't understand why he's saying the system is being played. He sounds like he won't see the reality. Such a shame because he seems like a decent guy.
Mark. Although you don’t respond to my messages, you address a lot of backgrounds and environments, I live in Mendocino County. Why not interview people here in areas such as these. Although beautiful, huge area for homelessness, addiction and we are top in the country for ACE’s with little to no resources as rural communities seem to suffer from
I had to add this because I just remembered his long time girlfriend's name is Charity.. She was and probably still is very beautiful and sweet natured.
Damn, I think he could still be a very good actor. I could see him playing a cop, a gangster, a politician, a bunch of things... if he just gets clean. I hope he can do it. I know how hard it is but he seems like a strong, intelligent man.
I remember “Glass”, back when I was about 15 we would get tons of the stuff. All wet shards of crystal for super cheap. I did meth for about a year and thank god I didn’t keep doing that shit.
@@imprezabob I wonder if RU-vid took it down for some reason, and he was able to put back up. It was a good interview. So stoked this channel has exploded. Mark has such a great and calming way to interview without judgement.
was wondering how many Adams remember getting interviewed ? daja vu..i remember every face but there is less of them there now. no disrespect to this man or any show here maby the pimps.....
I thought so too..... But then I read in a comment about an interview done 4 years ago.. Maybe that's what you mean by blew up fast... I (naively) thought it literally blew up in the space of a year or so...
Thank you totally true it’s his own fault he had everything going for him and now he just wants to stick a needle in his arm pathetic pathetic pathetic
This guy is far too comfortable and confident with his addiction. That’s why his days are numbered. He will sooner or later OD and it’s unlikely Leonardo will care one way or another
Number one thank you for your service . 2) pray you and your wife gets clean for good an give the rest of your life to your daughter. SHE deserves it . U choose drugs cause your scared of the dope sick withdrawals if you really toured over seas then you can get Thur the withdrawals . Pls . Get clean for your child an then for yourself fuck everybody else’s judgement . But turn the tables what if it was your daughter doing what you know is out there living out in the world ur in now ... let that sink in
Adam is proof that money and fame don't guarantee you a good life. He chose a very bad path for his life. What a shame; I'm guessing he could have had it ALL had he made better decisions.
It's certainly a blessing to witness how The Lord can turn something bad into something good. One step at a time, as everyone on this planet has a purpose and is valuable to God. One trait Adam seems to be portraying to take care with how you spend your 'money'. Being prudent is key, and Adam used this opportunity to remind this virtue to both you and me.
Bottom line- he and his wife would rather get high than take care of their kid. Now she might end up with a bad future because she knows her parents traded life with her for a life of drugs. Too bad people are so selfish.
I wish him the best. If he was around the right people I believe he has a lot of opportunities to be successful. “The family drug addict “. That’s sad , I feel like he knows he let a lot of people down .
It's nice to hear someone's story that doesn't see how nasty mouth cuss-words are necessary to talk. It's nice to listen to.... For a change. No f-bombs or g. d. every other word. I pray things get better for him.
I was on fent for a while almost a year but the guys quality ended up dropping dramatically for whatever reason lol you know so now I'm back on the reg
Leo should help him! With all the money he has! How embarrassing knowing he’s rich and his brother is a homeless. If he was his hero he shouldn’t give up on him no matter what! Family is family
Kristal Lopez Leo was very close to his brother. Leo did try to help. What addicts do to their families can be shockingly hurtful. But it teaches the family they have to let go until their loved one is ready for real help. And to always be there for them -when the Addict has no intent to change- is just enabling them. It isn’t helping the addict. The hardest thing for a family to do is let go. But they know by letting go -it could actually be the thing that finally helps their loved one to hit rock bottom. Adam and Charity being together on the street is part of why they refuse to stop the madness. They feed each other’s worst junkie behavior.
Some people are hardwired, predisposed towards having an addictive personality specifically to drugs and alcohol. Think Philip Seymour Hoffman. He admitted having an addictive personality and loving how drugs made him feel when interviewed by a journalist. He got sober but unfortunately relapsed into using heroin after being clean for 15 years and sadly he died from a drug overdose in 2014.
Mark didnt you upload this interview already a long while back? I was thinking it was a follow up but its just a repeat of his previous interview you posted.
i just read Ghost Town by Stout. 2020. about a privelaged kids life in Venice’s ghetto and spiral of drug abuse and ultimate redemption. Can’t pitt plea me. That’s a classic manip tech by all addicts. he needs to want it. His bravado of family money he thinks minimizes his situation: homeless addict in skid row. addiction doesn’t discriminate
