In a way that's kind of the point. A lot of national anthems are easy to sing, but ours is pretty difficult. It takes a professional to sing it well (and obviously even some professionals struggle with it).
"The Star-Spangled Banner" literally is one of the most difficult English songs, hands down. If you ever get a chance, take a look at the notes on paper. It's crazy.

Amber Arsenault I have a 3.5 octave range. 4 on a good (I haven’t wrecked my voice in a few weeks) day. A2 rattles but I got that bad boy C6 is purely whistle no singing hahaha but it comes out.
Amber Arsenault Mariah has a 5.2 octave vocal range though.. its not impossible Just takes time and training to open up ur voice, also Mariah had nodules that allowed her to have an amazing upper and lower register

For the record, the star spangled banner only ranges an octave and a half. For any non singers it’s probably difficult, but for anyone who’s actually a singer, all you have to do is find the right starting note, and most singers have the key where they can sing it without any issues. It’s really not difficult.
