Huge vacuum leak center of the carb. That might be the reason its idled so high to try to compensate and keep some what of an idle. Also great job love the ingenuity.
I agree! How could you be sharp enough to build such an outfit and not see that the vacuum hose that is supposed from the carb base to the PCV valve on the right hand valve cover is missing??? That would effectively stop the vacuum leak. I would say too, that it is a really nice conversion and those pipes are great, maybe a little loud for an old guy with hearing loss, but I'd love to have it!!
Love the sound. But completely useless and the original engine gives the best mpg for any tractor. PTO is cheaper than diesel today. Nice build by the way.
That could actually be a very practical tractor. Exhaust out the top with big mufflers. Far smaller carb and probably cam. Far more torque and power than the original Standard 4.
I hope you can understand my English-I love your mean vintage farm traktor! Nice restoration even the Chevy V8 looks like it was designed to fit that traktor. I wonder how well this would do at the Euro traktor pulls(vintage class)? Keep up the good work!

There is one in Jersey in the Channel Islands thathas a 5.3 V12 Jagauar Engine fitted, when asked why, the owners reply was, they were just lyting about so I thought why not.
Man hat lediglich die Lizenz gegeben um die (ein paar ITM/IMT ) Modelle zu produzieren aber das Know-how und das Modell kommt vom Engländer nix hier Serbisch!!!
Wie hast du das mit dem Getriebe gemacht??? Hält das Getriebe die Power aus?? Habe einen 6.2er Diesel und einen Ford Dexta mit Motorschaden. Überleg schon lange diesen ein zu bauen hab aber Angst dass das Getriebe hopps geht.
wow, echt ein geiles teil! wenn ich mal im lotto gewinn sollte bau ich meinen auch auf V8 um ;), ist allerdings ein te-20 lizenznachbau aus der ehemaligen tschechoslowakei und kein orginal massey. was hast du so reingesteckt an stunden und geld, zwar spricht man nicht über geld allerdings würde mich es schon interessieren ;). mfg MaZa
