It’s been a few weeks since our first attempt at catching and releasing a Ferox Trout. I’d been busy on a sea fishing trip to Falmouth with Reel Time. However it was time to get back down to the serious business of continuing the campaign with Douglas from @PiscatorUK-Fishing to track down the Loch Awe Ferox.
We soon had the boat launched and headed off down the loch - Douglas getting the Down Riggers and rods out as we went. Check out some of the modifications he’s been making to the tackle we were using.
A huge thanks to all those who commented on the previous video with helpful tips and advice which we put into practice on this trip.
As you’ll have guessed from the thumbnail we were rewarded with a stunning Ferox Trout. I still have a grin on my face today. Beginners luck? Maybe, but we caught and released a cracking example of this beautiful fish.
