You are so right about the air cleaner on those. I commend you for working on it with the deck lid on it. On my 77 GTB, step one for me, no matter what I’m doing is to pull the deck lid. I do it so much I actually have a spot in the garage with a pad setup to sit it on when I lean it against the wall. Do I have to take it off, probably not, but every time I don’t I’m just swearing at myself the entire time for having left it on. I wish they would have made it open up higher or had some kind of service position or something. But I guess that’s just part of the fun of vintage car ownership 😊
Carburetor 308s are about the newest Ferraris I work on and try to stick to the V12 stuff, a little swearing is normal when I work on 308s! Thanks for watching!
The rotor issue is when having the faith of your customer is imperative, it seems so simple once you know, but getting there can be a long road, especially given the age and questionable history of an unknown car.
Great job. I had an ignition problem with my Pontiac. When I had the hood up the ignition miss stopped. Turned out to be the aftermarket Mallory ignition box getting hot. It had a bigger engine than it was designed for and the under hood heat was brutal. Now I know why they use louvers lol.
I just had another car that would quit when the headlights were turned on! I found out the ground to the headlight was wired to a bad connection at an ignition box, so when the headlight was looking for ground it would pull voltage from the ignition! Thanks for watching!
