The Ferrari 365 GTB4 "Daytona" Competizione Gr.4 is absolutely one of my favorite Ferrari, not only for its amazing shape, representative of the 70's and drawn by Leonardo Fioravanti, but mainly for the incredible V12 engine sound and performances. We are speking about the "classic front engine Ferrari Granturismo" where each component is perfectly realized in its magnificence. The 4390cc power unit delivers 430hp at 7.800 rpm with a powerful torque of 461Nm at 5.500 rpm. The performances are impressive, with a top speed of over over 300km/h achieved also thanks to weight of only 1.240Kgs. I greatly thank Giallo Corsa dealer (www.giallocorsa.it) for the opportunity granted us to install an action-cam and naturally my friend and great RU-vidr Davide458Italia ( / davide458italia ) with which I collaborated for the video. La Ferrari 365 GTB4 "Daytona" Competizione Gr.4 è in assoluto una delle Ferrari che preferisco, ma non solo per l'estetica, splendida rappresentante degli anni 70 ed opera di Leonardo Fioravanti, ma per il suono incredibile e le prestazioni del grosso motore V12 all'anteriore. Parliamo dello schema classico Ferrari, ogni componente è perfettamente accordato nella sua magnificenza. Il propulsore di 4390cc eroga ben 430cv a 7.800 giri/min con una poderosa coppia di 461Nm a 5.500 giri/min. Le prestazioni sono impressionanti, oltre 300Km/h di velocità, raggiunte anche per via di un peso a vuoto di soli 1.240Kg nonostante la mole imponente della vettura. Italiansupercarvideo the new 812 reminds me of the Daytona Competizioné in styling, proportions, sound and performance. I slept on the Daytona for awhile in favor of the 456. The simplistic design of this machine is beautiful.

Qualcuno di molto autorevole disse tanto tempo fa che se la Countach di profilo trasmetteva la bellezza di una femmina la Daytona era il fallo maschile e Ferrari l aveva voluta così per metterlo in c. a Lamborghini..leggenda,storia vera?comunque bellissima e ottimo video..buon anno!

Si, si certo che lo sono. Te lo dico solo perchè Miura e Daytona sono più o meno della stessa epoca anche se la Miura uscì un po' prima e la Daytona fu la risposta di Ferrari a quella Lamborghini. La Miura all'epoca era avanti anni luce rispetto a tutte le altre, disposizione del motore, telaio, pesi, ecc anche rispetto alla Daytona che venne dopo. La Ferrari era altrettanto bella ma la Miura era concettualmente qualcosa di mai visto in una vettura sportiva e fu la prima, vera supercar della storia.

It's mostly about the exhaust system. This car is fitted with a complete racing exhaust conceived to get the best performance out of the engine.

"Handles like a truck though, so they say." - What do journalists know about anything ? Bugger-all . They get into a heavy performance car, and then complain that it doesn't drive like a Nissan Micra. A Ferrari is heavy - just like a Jaguar is heavy, or an American car is heavy - so obviously it isn't as good through a roundabout as a Mini-Cooper. On fast open bends, they're fine. The trouble is that people who've grown up with modern front-wheel drive cars, think they can get in a heavy RWD car and drive it the same way. They come up to a corner, stamp on the brakes, and turn in roughly at the last moment with the brakes still on, and then complain when the car doesn't react in the same way as their modern daily-driver. With a heavy RWD car, you have to turn-in smoothly, so that the weight transfers to the outside wheels, and then you can drive it through as fast as you wish. If you turn-in roughly, then the sudden weight transfer upsets the balance of the car, and you are likely to miss the apex and run wide.

50 years ago most of italian top class gt cars were mainly conceived for long trips at high speed on our highways and the Daytona was no exception.Most of them were never raced nor were intended for racing purpose let alone the Daytona which proved itself to be a winner in its class.Poor handling was a pretty common issue but those were the standards back then for such cars. If anything the GTC4 Daytona in its racing variant took up the challenge.
