Today our cat Moneta will show you an elegant handcrafted 1:43 scale model of a luxury replica of the 500 F2, the legendary Ferrari car that competed in the 1952 and 1953 World Championships.
The single-seater in which Alberto Ascari twice won the World Drivers' Championship was the second car to use the new in-line four-cylinder engine developed by Lampredi and debuted at the Modena circuit on 23 September 1951. It is thanks to the 500 F2 that Ascari remains the only Italian driver to reach the top step of the podium twice, both times driving a Ferrari.
