What I really love about these videos is how well researched they are. Everything is checked for accuracy to make sure it's 100% right. I saw a video not long ago about the Mustang SVO where the presenter kept claiming that the 2.3 turbo four in the SVO was more powerful than the 5.0 HO 302 in the GT and that made the SVO quicker and faster. Both were totally false. They had some great shots of the SVO but the inaccuracies detracted from the video as a whole. You can count on what's said here as being true. And I also thought the 355 looked better than the 348.
This is where Ferrari kind of lost me. Montezumallo was a cheasy guy. I wanted the brand to do more and did Glickenhaus. He had the money. I still just work on GA aircraft. Love it everyday! If I had the money it would not be that series. Honestly where I live the only Ferrari that would suit my needs is a full rally Lancia Stratos. Not the new one. The original.
Hi l bought my GTS in 2005 and was so so impressed with the car l bought a Spyder four years later! In early 2023 l had both serviced by Ferrari uk including cam belts, cam covers repainted, new fuel pumps, Sticky switches sorted, any corrosion sorted and various paint chips sorted! Having extended the belt by 6 years both cars are good to go for another 6 years. The cost per car was £6000 which works out £1000 per year! If you can’t afford the maintenance don’t buy!! For the record both are yellow the correct Ferrari colour with red interiors sports exhausts , 2.7 monotonic and manual shift! In my opinion the prettiest Ferrari ever produced and therefore will never sale them!
Observation: Good Grief would this woman please stop with her arms flailing? It's akin to a stewardess pre-flight safety drill. We want to see cars not turn-off distractions.
Colleen , you truly do an outstanding presentation ... Your knowledge and passion are beyond compare ... Thank you for insight into the loves , of your life...
FYI, the F1 is faster than the manual and a better bargain. The hydraulic actuator pump should be up graded to a 360 one and for a real symphonic thrill install a Capristo stage 2 exhaust and you'll think you're driving an Formula 1 car !
I couldn't even name any of the new Ferrari models after the 488. They're all boring, computerized crap! These older Ferraris are the only cars worthy of the name!
Incredible the number of commenters on here still claiming maintenance costs on the F355 are more than any equivalent high performance car of the era. If these cars are driven regularly and maintained by a qualified & independent garage they are a pleasure to own and run.
You could have just as much fun in a 93 civic si, wish I never sold mine, I got a 98 lx four door now but it’s an automatic and not even vtec it’s not the same, my 93 hatch had a built d16z6 and a short throw shifter god why did I sell that!
Love the 355 Berlinetta, with its righteous gated shifter and mad 8000 RPM V8. They are however pretty fragile. Countless YT videos from owners spend BIG money and a lot of frustrations on this model. Expect to pay ALOT to keep one of these bad boys in good condition.
@@KrustyKlown Yeah the engines seem pretty robust and the cam belt replacement is annoying but not too horrid. It's all the other stuff that breaks...hoses, manifolds, clutches etc...a never ending list of small but expensive items. it's no Toyota ;)
bUT NO WONDER lazy and 'whipped' people ( those who imagine being chased by mobsters, so everything they do is at top speed, even things that need a relaxed approach ) wrecked the roofs.
It's my dream to own a F355 Spider. Has a nostalgic & emotional attachment. At 8500rpm, Sounds incredible with a Tubi exhaust. People always mention the pet peeve of the engine out belt service.
