Funny enough me and my friend saw an F40 on the streets while shopping and he thought the F40 was just some cheap ferrari at the same level as an old ford mustang. Unbeknownst to him this car is secretly priced at over 1.5 million dollars!!!

Onya Mate ! The Ferrari 288 GTO is the "grandfather" of the so-called hyper car. The F40 was born as the twin turbos on the 288 GTO were too small to beat the Porsche 959. The F40 WAS developed to match the Porsche 959. Last week ( Sunday the 24th Njovember) I saw a 599 GTO on the corner of College and Wiliam Streets in the heart of the Sydney CBD. The noise it made eaily drowns out the F40.

Although it was 3 years or so after the f40 came out, as a 10 year old I always remember the Lamborghini Diablo being included in the trio with the 959 and f40. It seem like the xj220 was greatly underappreciated in this era.

I like the xj 220. The RUF yellowbird did 211 mp/h. ( Road and Track magazine). Came out in the same year as the f40. A few years later the bugatti eb 110, mclaren f1. Cizeta V16T and so on. Great cars.

Is this the same Ferrari F40 that is currently advertised for sale in Sydney on Carsales for $2,000,000 ? The F40 is one of my favorite model Ferrari's, aside from the Enzo and the LaFerrari. It's unfortunate that in Australia you cannot road register an F40 to be driven with permanent number plates like a normal vehicle. It can only be driven on public roads with Trade plates as shown in this video.

For its era it was a hypercar but not today more like a supercar. Hypercars are modern futuristic like Chiron Huracan ford gt Etc. This is a true sport car wont get any better than this.
