I didn’t even realize they were both arches, thought it was just cladding at first. Such an interesting design and I couldn’t imagine the car without em 😮
As a die-hard Lamborghini fan, I’ve gotta give this car massive props, mostly for doing the thing that Lamborghini never did (and quite frankly was much more likely to do, and should have done): put a V12 in a goddamn SUV. This is the only V12 performance SUV that exists, and it’s one of those things that’s so unbelievably insane that it ends up being the coolest thing ever. I would buy 10 of these over one Urus Performante
@@R8andGT3Fan I agree. The Urus concept looked more nimble and less bulky. It's hard not to view the production model as the Audi Q8 with a Lambo body kit
I am not a lambo fan. I prefer ferrari because unlike lambo, they don't allow anyone who has the money to buy one. Which is why all the rappers have lambos. Ferrari wouldn't let these idiots who are the exact opposite of classy, buy a ferrari.
@@N1ckZ I personally prefer Lambos because they are the very definition of “because why not?” Things that are put on a Ferrari from a design standpoint are always done either in the name of beauty or performance, whereas most of the things Lamborghini puts into their cars are done simply because they can. A Lambo will never be more beautiful or elegant than a Ferrari, but one will always look 10 times cooler and catch your attention every time without fail. If a Ferrari is a sculpture on wheels, a Lambo is a razor blade
Can't believe Ferrari came into the SUV market so late in the game, no wonder they put in a V12 to stand out in more ways than just name and design, respect to their engineering for making the first front mid engine V12 SUV, remarkable feat and a special moment in history
I would say that Ferrari really surprised everyone with this SUV, but in a very positive way! As we have seen on other occasions, it is not so easy to make a beautiful SUV, but here I believe that Ferrari has succeeded. For me one of the most beautiful SUVs in the world.
It's a classic berlinetta, with the lower part of the body and the bumper stretched in height and enormous wheel to raise it up.... It would be 100 times better if it was a sport car, imagine cut the car just under wheel arches, the upper part is a beautiful Ferrari gt.... Fuck SUV, this is a fake suv (try offroad on that thing) just for the sake to made one
What I love mostly about this, it’s not too big, and bulky with a massive grill, Ferrari went the opposite route, it’s a smart way to stand out from everybody else’s ugly grills, best looking suv.
Tbh, I absolutely would have seen Lamborghini putting a V12 in their SUV WAY before Ferrari even MADE an SUV. I’m surprised that Ferrari was the first to put a V12 into an SUV and not Lamborghini; it just seems like such a characteristically Lambo thing to do
@@mrsoisauce9017 it’s because the Urus is based on the VW MLB platform (Audi RSQ8, Bentley Bentayga, Porsche Cayenne GT) all of which uses the twin turbo V8 (or the W12 only for the Bentley). It’s easier and cheaper for VW to just use the V8 instead of reengineering the entire platform to fit the V10 or V12. Ferrari had no such basis for their SUV, so why not just design the thing to fit a V12 in the first place? ^^
@@mrsoisauce9017 unless lambo got the budget to develop their own platform that can fit a V12, the next Urus going to stick with V8 or whatever powertrain the next Cayenne and Q8 are using
@@devandrasimanjuntak1646 u guys think I don’t know that? Ofc I do. My point is: I wish it didn’t use the same platform as a fucking Audi RSQ8. I wish it used a different platform, or at the very least a similar platform that can support the Lamborghini V10 and/or V12
You don’t have to say that you are a Ferrari fan.Everybody is a Ferrari fan.Even if they say they’re not, they are Ferrari fan.Even if you go to the Mercedes guys, and they say:”Oh yeah Mercedes is the greatest brand in the world, they are Ferrari Fans!
I think I just felt in love, absolutely stunning car, I like every aspect of design I’d even call it my dream SUV design, fits all my tastes, the sharpness of lines the amount of details and precision that ve been put in work is just insane, it’s next level of car design for me, I don’t even have words to describe the bunch of emotions that this beauty gives me,I’d compare it to look at the perfect woman body, just a pleasure for eyes, thank you for the video!
We knew it would be good and they didn't disappoint. Looks much leaner and lighter for what the curb weight is - at least on video appears so. Thanks for video and feedback, spot on.
Aa Really brought home how bad the situation is when the guy at the end expressed gratitude for simply having enough space to stand up inside his shared apartments...
I feel like a king 🤴 now in 600 sqf apartment, I could never live in Hong Kong under those conditions 😐. Poor people, the government should change their policies.
Comparing the purosangue with the lamborghini urus design is just killing the Urus once and for ever. The Purosangue is the Ferrari suv that fans didn't wanted, but now that has been made it is amazing to look at.
@@sparkgrid Most likely, given the fact his Monza and Roma videos were long as well. Something tells me that all car enthusiasts only care about performance and supercars.
How on Earth did you miss the most unique and most effective element - the double wheel arches!! They make the wheels appear bigger and bodywork smaller!
Looks great for sure......but calling it an SUV is an abomination. Not even Ferrari themselves call it an SUV. So we need to stop as well. TECHNICALLY its a station wagon (4 floors and a rear hatch), but I know that's gonna trigger a bunch of people. 😄
And some ignorant clowns dare to claim that the Purosangue is "ugly" lol. People who really know a thing or two about car designs know that the Purosangue is an absolutely gorgeous and amazing car. It's the greatest and most beautiful SUV ever made, no doubt about it. Ferrari's design team really did an awesome job with the Purosangue.
I really don't like the front end. The Roma does it much better, and even so I'm not really a fan. In my opinion those are not going to be iconic headlights such as the ones on the 550, 430 or 458.
They should have named it Ferrari Ribot..Ribot was the greatest Italian race horse He ran 18 times and won 18 times..He won all the major races in Italy, France, and England..now that’s a Purosangue.
Everybody seems to forget that this still technically competes with the lotus eletre, although they are pretty much on opposite sides of the spectrum it doesnt get much more extreme than v12 to ev, unless bugatti puts the w16 in an suv
Most people say it's a cashgrab, but the first time I saw this suv, it's not. It looks like a brute FF. Plus a V12! This is definitely a well done steak for me
I think the front end is a bit too busy... It looks like theres 5 grilles. I also think the headlights are too narrow and I think it would look better if they filled up more of the front. The proportions are on point though.
@@armankiarmankii ya no offense taken at all. I just think Ferrari has such an incredible rich history with outstanding design language. I think this SUV and the Roma are two of the worst designs they have ever had in terms of creating spark with muscular beauty they are known for. Its bland to me, it appears muscle bound in a way but not enough drama. The rear exhaust layout and the trim around it is as basic as it could ever be. They had an opportunity to completely change what people think an SUV could be, I think they went far too basic with it. The front lights are just plain boring, I mean where is the creativity in the light department.. a single bar? with some edge cuts? it looks like a concept from 2010 to me. I have seen the Laferrari concepts, that was the direction and language they should have gone with for this, just on the frame of a SUV. I think it will go down as a complete boring forgetful car. It could have been far more smooth and muscle bound, with the lighting being clean flowing on the surface...but they just stuck with their 20 year old surfacing.
My main issue with it is its basically a Roma on stilts. It looks it could be a crossover from Kia or Alfa (nothing against those brands who make some very attractive cars imo). I like big, muscular SUVs, but maybe that's just me.
@@oldben1800 ahh okay, well i think the overall design looks pretty nice especially when compared to the other alternatives; However I guess to each their own 👍
I'd love a design comparison between the GTC4Lusso and the Purosangue. Is the Purosangue just a jacked up GTC4Lusso from an overall design perspective?
This Ferrari is awesome epic! to my eyes the best looking most resolved design luxury sports SUV/ Crossover on the market trumps betters even the beautiful Aston Martin DBX and Lamborghini Urus. I can't wait for the upcoming new start up Italian electric car brand AEHRA to launch their SUV! Filippo Perini (ex Lamborghini designer) is AEHRA chief design officer.
What a stunning design. In my opinion it was Porsche who revolutionised SUV design with the Macan (albeit for a much broader customer base) ... and we can see design hints of it on all great subsequent SUV designs, including this one, which of course is a a few notches above, granted the Ferrari clientele. But I can still see elements of what Porsche first did with the Macan years ago.
Ferrari should be a ball dress, not a secretary suit. Their recent stuff seems to be playing a bit more close to Mclaren design with looking serious and sacrificing too many lines and accents and decisions to the windtunnel, especially with their front engines. The SP models seemed to have avoided that overserious design compromise. They are actually pieces of performance art.
It's annoying that this isn't a shooting brake. It's a nice design but slightly bulked up to look like an SUV, but they've gained no utility in doing that, it doesn't fit 5 people and boot space is shit. So they might as well have proportioned it like a shooting brake, then it would've looked even better. They slightly sacrificed the styling for no benefit
First, great video, as always. I love how passionate you are about car design. My opinion about the car is that in general, it is absolutely beautiful. The wheels, proportions, line flow, and aero are all stunning. The absolute best part of this car, in my opinion, is its rear. I LOVE the tail lights and I think they look even better then the tail lights on the Roma (and it's the world's most perfect car in terms of design for me). Every single detail of the rear end of this car is perfect. The only thing I think is not perfect is the front end, and I like the front end of the Roma MUCH better. I feel like the "face" or "expression" of the car is not defined. My eyes move around it and have a hard time settling in on a single detail. I would love the angle of the daytime running lights to be more horizontal (like the Roma) so that the car looks less "angry" and more "confident". Overall, I think Ferrari nailed the challenge and I hope that maybe, someday, I'll be able to buy one... Please share your thoughts with me! Do you agree with me or not? And why?
I absolutely agree with you, 100% And you said exactly what I felt, something that no one is talking about, and that is the confused face of the vehicle. I can't seem to figure out what expression the car is trying to make or what emotions should arouse within me after seeing it. You're right, the front end is not well defined, but otherwise it's the best looking SUV I've ever seen, PERIOD! Also it looks like a chubby kid who, although has got a lot of weight around, still looks attractive and well mannered and has that spirit and eagerness, which the purosangue has in the form of that beautiful V12, props to Ferrari for putting a 6.5L V12 in an F*cking SUV in a day and age where automakers are too eager to drop the internal combustion engines even from their sports/muscle cars (I'm looking at you Dodge!)
Agreed. Honestly, I like the look of it, but it just kind of breaks my heart that we live in a world wherein Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Aston Martin are making SUVs
“We don’t talk about the stats and performance here on this channel, we focus on the styling” Immediately Proceeds to quote the stats and performance figures.
I think it's more about what Lamborghini and Ferrari offer.. Ferrari always had like a more elegant, clean, even 'femenine' design with their cars, and Lamborghini had like that robustness, pure raw power, bulk masculine thing with theirs.. even if you think about the logos.. a gracefull and elegant horse vs a raging bulk bull.. and all of that it's no diferent with their first SUV's.. In my opinion both are incredible brands with amazing designs that approach differents desired results
Suggestion.. put rough structure into your video.. for example : context.. concept.. packaging.. proportion.. silhouette.. graphics front side rear.. surfacing.. interior.. final note.. etc At the moment its bit all over the place.. basically just annotating car pics in photoshop while throwing automotive design lingo repetitively (dynamic, greenhouse, stunning, muscle, nice looking design, cool design, design..)
They wont be able to sell enough of these. It looks like a Ferrari. It sounds like a Ferrari. It goes as fast as a Ferrari. Its just big and heavy, but people will love it regardless.
HI BEMB 🙂 WHAT CAN I SAY ABOUT THIS MASTERPIECE............I M SPEECHLESS RIGHT NOW BRO//////////////// THIS PUR BLOOD IS A REFERENCE NOW IN THE SUV CATEGORIE.////////////////LOVELY CAR ....AND WHAT A PURE COLLECTION OF SMOOTH LINES./////////////YOU KNOW MAN.....FERRARI NEVER MISS THE GAME . THIS ONE IS EVEN BETTER THEN THE LAMBO URUS.....I THINK 🤔 THANK YOU BEMB GREAT ANALYSIS BRO 🙂
I don’t like it… to me it just looks fat, like a hypo version of the Roma (wich is absolutely gorgeous and sensual), the proportions are just off to me and the graphics are too complex but I understand that they had to add them to fill up those big surfaces… It’s like a hypo acting like a horse, it doesn’t look good. At least the Urus doesn’t pretend to be subtile
Awesome. It's a pity that even if one could afford it, Ferrari's "cherry picking" of buyers will mean that only current owners of high end Ferarri models will get to buy and own them. And of course they won't be allowed to sell them for at least 1 year. But what a spectacular car!
Honestly with body kits for the urus I still think it looks way better than this, not feeling the headlights at all and when it comes to SUV’s I like the thick bulky muscle look, keep the sleek ballerina look for the coupes, honestly I don’t even consider this a suv this a damn crossover
Next step by Ferrari: Truck and Van...The Purosangue was made just for business. It has nothing sporting about it, weighing 2 tons. This is not a Ferrari, but a marketing and business project, aimed at shattering the brand and the DNA in the near future.
I am alone in just not liking this design. I don't like big bloaty SUV designs.. and whilst I think this is probably a good design, I just don't like it.
I agree 👍 but personally I HATE every one of these stupid suvs . They sooner this craze for these oversized idiotic cars ends the better . The only.time I would ever consider an suv would be if I lived in the country and needed a 4 wheel drive with good clearance and go anywhere through anything ability and I'd buy a range rover . It's luxurious, it has decent performance and it can actually do what it was designed for .
Lamborghini designs are like a mech warrior ,Gundam japan anime robot. they like a spaceship, outrageous look at me and no emotion. I cant connect to it, the 1st & only lamborghini that looked appealing to me was the Huracan, cause it has semi-organic lines & curves mixed with the mech look. Ferrari designs on the otyher hand are soulful & organic, tasteful flowing lines all beaty and purposeful. it's why their cars din't need big winds cause those lines & curves merge wind tunnel engineering with beauty in a way no other car maker does
LOL random designer on youtube talking like he knows more than multiple top tier, professionally established designers at at one of the worlds most prestigious car brands.
