Ferrari are one of the few teams that can go from being on top of the world one Weekend, to having a double DNF the next weekend. This season, Red Bull have an early lead in the Constructors Championship and it won't be easy for Ferrari to catch up. Next season, Ferrari will be absolutely doomed if they don't figure out some way to fix some of the issues that have plagued their team for years...

It'll take a few years before the core problems are gone. I hope Vasseur gets time to fix it. Not getting replaced after a bad season. Great video Patrick!

Can I join your bet on Charles beating Lewis? I will add that he'll do it convincingly too. However, as a team, I genuinely think Fred is doing a really good job of restructuring the team, but I think it will take time to get all the pieces in place. To be fair, though, I wouldn't trust myself on this matter, because I thought very similarly of Binotto in his first few years and see how awful that turned out...

Absolutely! We did it on a couple rounds at the go karting track 😂 I’ll put you down for a couple as well! I do agree fully, as a team, Vasseur is leading them in the right direction. People seem to respect him as the leader and it looks like pieces are falling into place. With Lewis coming AND Newey (hopefully rumors are true), I think Ferrari are in a pretty good spot going forward

@@RacingwithRicu I'm a Fernando guy, so I'm actually hoping Newey goes to Aston Martin, but based on historical records and Fernando's poor decision making, that ain't happening :P

Well I also like Alonso, so I definitely wouldn’t mind him having another competitive car to have a shot at a championship! He would love the challenge

I think Ferrari would have a chance, but they would need either a miracle to make sure their strategy is on point every weekend, or they need Red Bull to have some bad luck at a lot more races than they’ve had so far…

Ya, I think a lot of it will come down to how consistent BOTH drivers will be able to perform over the course of the season. There’s a chance still this year, but they need solid performances

@@RacingwithRicu season 2021 is when the table flipped, at the Abu Dhabi GP, half way through the race, i was at the grand stand, there were no more hopes for Max to win the championship.

And yet, anything is possible! Great example, I still hope that Ferrari can find a way to win the constructors this season!

we are half way through the season. if ferrari stay competitive, mercedes will not stand a chance to beat mclaren. mclaren is still too far away from redbull. Sergio won't be always DNF. at this point it will be harder for redbull to 'improve'. ferrari can still beat redbull in constructor championship. leclerc might not be the world championship, but ferrari may scores enough points to win the constructor.

That’s a great point! I think Ferrari will be able to challenge, but they really can’t afford to have many weeks like the one in Canada. Red Bull are probably close to the maximum performance on their car, but they still have Max, and Max can pull through even when the odds are against him. Ferrari need a consistent run form both Charles and Carlos to have a shot this year… we will see 😅
