Back in 1985, my ferret "Mitzi" had a litter of 7 babies. I stayed with her through all of it as she stayed busy well into the morning, bearing and cleaning one baby after another. She was more than exhausted and I was plenty tired. But, just like this new mama, she kept pulling my thumb back in like I was one of her newborns as I tried to go to bed. I finally caved, left my hand in the box with her, and fell asleep right there. It was one of the great events in my life!

It sounds like Mitzi appreciated you being there throughout the exhausting night as her supportive birthing partner but she wasn’t quite ready for you to leave her alone with the new litter. She must have wanted her human and the kits all accounted for by the nest, safely under her maternal watch, before allowing herself to relax. What a sweet girl.

Juan D'Marco i’ve had all kinds of animals before, sadly had to sell them :/ buy them actually making these sounds are because they are blind when they are born, and they use sounds to call the mother to protect them, and it’s quite a neat thing nature has done

This has to be one of the sweetest things I have seen in a long time. Mama has complete love and trust in her human. So cute to watch her "demand" that you pay attention to and touch her babies. I don't think I've ever seen a mama of any species do something like this. I've seen them try to show or lead a human to their young but never w this much enthusiasm lol. I think this is precious, you have a wonderful ferret who undoubtedly loves and trusts you w what is most precious to her.
I love how she dragged him over like, "C'mere and take a look!" But when he held one upside down, she said, "Okay, you not just gonna hold my baby like that!"
You know, considering how cute they are when they are comfortable around humans, this whole family (mustidae i think) are surprisingly vicious predators in the wild

I am falling more in love with these beautiful creatures..they are so innocent and pure in their hearts..most animals don't want humans around their babies but this one clearly accepts the human as family and welcomes him to see her babies❤

I love how this ferret thinks she has the abillity to drag a human like she would her babies or maybe another ferret. Like she doesn't even acknowledge you're 100 times its size.

Lol, yes this is quite cool, I don't know much about ferrets but, I know they are a particularly vicious animal and I would assume they'd be violently defensive about their brood.
@@ScottishPEACEguythey're not as unnecessarily vicious as people say. Don't get me wrong, if one wants to, they will fuck your day up. But for the most part, with appropriate socialisation, ferrets are actually super sweet and loving animals that contain a comedic personality akin to the greatest standups.
