Every scene with her 😍 It reminds me of an early Marilyn Monroe movie - she has maybe 2 brief science and says just 2 lines - I have a dvd somewhere that is re-release with her on the cover - before they became stars - Sloan should have become an A-Lister -- she steals every scene with star qualities.
@@Professor__S Chicago, LA & San Fran were PARADISE in the 80's (obviously not the ghetto areas). NY was still a sewer dump until Giuliani became Mayor in the early 90's lol.
Id say the 90s had its own unique charm and up until 2012 not to be cryptic surrounding the phenomena about it but i do really feel that the world did change
The fact that the last kid doesnt even know that she is ferris's older sister just adds insult to injury lol. The layers of comedy in this film are gold
@@matthewhicks6939 you think that’s it? There’s Navy Pier, the Mag Mile, North Ave Beach, Wrigleyville during the baseball season, there also a bunch of broadway plays downtown, and of course the food! (Deep Dish or Tavern Style, Italian Beef, & Chicago Style Hot Dogs)
I've been living out here in the Windy City for 2 months & I am so enthralled & super pleased that I can't say enough about it! One of the best decisions that I ever made!
God I can’t believe how old this movie is. It feels like it would fit right in an indie movie of present day. Yet it was released when my mom was a teen! (For reference, im 24).
"go piss up a flagpole", has been used liberally since I first saw this in Australia. at around 16.. and in Sep/2023 I can still quote a whole bunch of this awesome movie. Thanks for the upload.
Then again, Rooney isn't exactly the brightest bulb in the socket either. If he had stood at the bottom of the stairs, he MIGHT have realised that Ferris was right there in front of him.
@wns808 Yeah, that was funny too. I've always loved this movie but I used to think it was dumb how Ferris peeled out and Sloan yelling "Whoo-hooo!!" when Rooney was still right there, but I realize now that Ferris did that on purpose because he wanted Rooney to see that, because Ferris was all about taking risks and excitement. That's why he was also trying to get Cameron to loosen up and be the same way
I love this movie reminds me of my own school days my best friends were twin boys who quote started burrowing their grandparents mustang. I hated school for me bullied so Scott always drived always produced St Louis Cardinals tickets then calling from the phone in the car to their sister Robin in college to call us in sick oh the good old days I agree with Ferris about the car lmao
One thing i found funny about this movie is the actress who played Sloan was the only one who was high school age. Matthew Broderick was 23 and Alan Ruck was 29
