This is my review of the Ferro Concepts Slickster. I have trained in it for about 7 months and feel as if I have enough experience with it to state my opinion.
Overall, this is a great plate carrier. I want to make mention that any of my complaints stated in the video would be alleviated with lighter plates. And also I’m just a skinny weak bitch, so it’s fine even with heavy plates.

Perfect review for me. I'll be purchasing one when they become available and also adding the same Haley strategic set up. Cut those clips off the side and buy extra clips from Ferro Concepts and just add them when you need them. Great vid!

Sticker man the spiritus systems replacement clips go on and off really easily. I have no experience with taking on and off the Haley clips. Also, if you’ve got the spare coin, check out the FCPC. It’s no bigger in terms of size but it fixes basically all of my complaints with the slickster. The new designed shoulder straps support the weight so much better and it’s far more modular of a system. But that by no means suggests that the slickster is a bad choice 🤘🏻

@@ruthlessreviews1283 hey I appreciate the information and I will definitely look into that. When it comes to the two clips on each side of the Haley strategic pouch. I'm going to cut mine off ( pair of side cutters) and by 4 extra Ferro concept clips in case I ever want to use my suspender system again. Thanks for the tip!

I've really loved my slickster. I wish they had the ranger green but it's always out of stock. Also love how easy it is to run it slick. Can throw my ak chest rig on or throw on my 556 placard. Good stuff man. I'm going to subscribe.

I cant decide whether to do multicam black for the gram or go wolf gray for low profile. That hayley strategic rig looks promising as a stand alone rig until i get a carrier for plates. Great first video. Love the outtakes and language. Subscribed

I think the smaller channels have just as much to offer as the big guys like daddy flannel because it's more "average citizen" type content that ou know is unbiased. Realized at the end of the video when I saw your gun up close that I've seen you running drills on IG! Awesome to see guys training!

Thank you for this video. No one has ever mentioned that the RMA lvl 4 plates dont fit. Those are the plates i own. Gonna have to pass on the Slickster unfortunately.

Lowtan18 I do want to mention that I reached out to Ferro Concepts about this, and this has been corrected in the current generation Slickster. This was an original model, and they told me that the new ones will fit those plates no problem. I haven’t tested this myself yet, but that is the information that they gave me after I filmed this video

I got some rts tactical plates lvl 4 6 lbs per plate. If you want level 4 but I'm your case 4 lbs lighter I would look into them at about 140 a piece.

JayAK88 thanks homie. I actually sold it and replaced it with a FCPC, also from Ferro Concepts. I like it a lot more, but the slickster is by no means a bad PC. It’s a great and pretty solid starting point for most people, especially those on a budget. However, it’s certainly outclassed by some other options out there, which are totally worth it if you’re going to be using it a lot, even just in training

Student Operator Damn, I’m gonna do the same thing bro. I want the FCPC v5 bad but it’s sold out, I contacted them they said 8-10 weeks till restock. Also watched all your vids, keep it up man.

Isn't this the "Gen 1" slickster? iirc those ones don't fit SAPI size plates, hence the tight fit with the RMA plates.

I mean, when it comes down to running around with a plate carrier and rifle, I don't think it matters much what color it is when it comes to being discrete. There's going to be extremist elements both in the government and on regular civvie side wearing solid and camo, so if you want to distances yourself from those lunatics, there ain't much you can do but go regular clothes with a CCW handgun.
