The Ferruccio stadium was built in 1934 on commission from the entrepreneur Umberto Trabattoni, in memory of his son Ferruccio.
The architectural style of the stadium is in line with the architectural currents of the 1930s and late Italian rationalism.
Trabattoni was president of Seregno from 1922 to 1935.
The total cost was 850,000 lire.
The stadium has a playing field measuring 120 by 70 metres.
It was used for the first time in the 1935 Serie C football championship by Seregno.
Umberto Trabattoni sold it to the municipality of Seregno in 1937.
It has a covered grandstand with a capacity of 1,700 seats.
And it is surrounded by a track and various platforms for athletics specialties and two open stands on the opposite side of the changing rooms and a gym under the stand.
Teams such as Milan, Napoli and Gigi Riva's Cagliari played in official matches.
In 1935, the Italian national football team trained in preparation for an International Cup match.
A commemorative plaque was placed in the locker room for that event.
All the interventions were carried out with the aim of homologating the sports facility for future Lega Pro football competitions.
The total cost of the renovation was 800,000 euros.
The works ended on 6 December 2009, when the stadium was returned to the city of Seregno after the conservative restoration.
The facade was redone with the colors and features of the original style, thus guaranteeing the right importance to the historical elements of the structure.
In the summer of 2021, further works began to modernize and adapt the stadium to current regulations to allow the Azzurri to be able to play their Serie C championship matches at home.
On the front, 4 bronze sculptures have been added, by the artist Giuseppe De Feo, which depict various sports disciplines: football, athletics and cycling.
