Hi Dr, I just finished my 1st cycle of IVF and unfortunately there was only 1 follicle. That 1 egg got collected and didn’t make it. The embryologist said that the egg is not mature and degenerate. I’m 39. I’ve started the supplements during that cycle, multivitamin coq10 fish oil folic acid. What can I do to increase my chance on the next IVF cycle, to increase the quality of my eggs, thank you
I’m 42. I had 2 miscarriages in the last 5 months, first was a blighted ovum. last miscarriage was a twin gestation also both blighted ovums. I have two kids, ages 4 and 3 yrs old. What are my chances of conceiving naturally and not miscarrying again?
Did I hear that correctly? We ‘can’t’ improve our egg health?? What, why? I thought we could and so much is advised to help improve it so why did he say we can’t? I’m very confused now 🥺
Dr. Amy, what are supplements that you recommend for women in their late 40s or early 50s (peri menopausal) who wish to go through IVF using an egg donor? Is there anything that can be taken to prime the body to accept the embryo that are in addition to the hormones that will be prescribed to thicken the uterus? Your response will be highly appreciated! Thank you in advance!
