90°. No more. No less. The aluminium stop milled from a single piece guarantees precise and reproducible perpendicular cuts without any readjustments. Thanks to the quick-change system, the angle stop is attached to the guide rail in an instant and, in combination with the portable circular saw, saw table and work bench, turns into the mobile panel saw.

Great saw especially ru-vid.comUgkxxnKxcY0vm4xjW8xkPbjaHuKt10gr-wG_ considering how drastically cheaper it is than every other track saw on the market. Only things I would mention is replace the blade immediately, the 24 tooth blade supplied leaves a lot to be desired.

@@festoolaustralia There's countless examples of rail squares on the market . Is it a case of everyone reinventing the wheel , or are people finding useful variations ?

Thank you Justin for your prompt response. I get your point about allowing approximtely 200mm over-hang anyway which I do for my HKC55 saw. However as shown in the video when the square is positioned at the front the length of the square is a factor. That would be a unusual application for my use. Thank you once again, cheers John Storey

No worries, John. Yep that's true when the square is positioned at the front, worth factoring in even though it'd be an unusual application for you. Have a good one! Cheers, Justin

I have just acquired the festool FS-WA/90 angle stop and I would like to alert you to a problem encountered. The top border near the Festool marking is indeed perpendicular to the ruler, but the bottom border is not! In fact, the 2 edges are not parallel, there is about a tenth of a millimeter difference in size at each end of the angle stop. When we multiply this by the ratio between the length of the stop and the length of the 1400mm ruler, we have an error of a good half millimeter of squareness!

So sorry that you have experienced this problem, you can contact your local Festool and let them know about this and problably they can help you out with the tool return. Thanks

Pity that none of the examples I've examined are actually square. If you are going to charge Starrett prices, you had better be accurate because it only has one job and it worse than useless if it isn't accurate. I've returned mine and the whole Festool saw system I bought.

There are some accessories in other brands. An angle can be fixed to the underside to align more with the board.

It’s for using TSO Parallel guides and can be attracted to your mft3 table so you can use it to make 90 cuts easily. tsoproducts.com/tso-parallel-guide-system/ cdn8.bigcommerce.com/s-86e7d/product_images/uploaded_images/it-does-not-get-any-more-accurate-or-faster-than-this.jpg

Nice! Whats the reason for the special shape of this tool (45 deg angles) and also whats the reason for having four threaded holes in it?
@AaronGeller

it takes parallel guides since it's a Festool branded TSO product

How much of the FS Rail does it take up? I have a 800mm FS Rail with this fitted is the "effective length" reduced by say 150mm. Otherwise it looks like a real good idea. I work from a Wheelchair mainly using the Kapex MFT. Cheers
@festoolaustralia
@festoolaustralia 4 года назад
Hey John. Great question, thanks for your interest! You would normally have approx. 200mm overhanging the material you want to cut (so you have enough room to plunge the saw safely), which means the effective length of an 800mm rail is about the same with or without the square. Cheers, Justin

when the saw make kick back?
@festoolaustralia
@festoolaustralia 4 года назад
Hi there. Not sure I fully understand your question sorry but the TS 55 plunge saw has a riving knife that follows the blade through the cut, which prevents kickback. Justin
@chippysteve4524

You will never get kickback if you are using your saw correctly. Read the manual :-)
