Take my money! I'm waiting for a CXS 18 in the USA. Although I'm not sure why its so tall. I could get two hands on that grip. I only need to get two fingers under the trigger. I also think it was a missed opportunity to add twice as much bit storage to the front. Especially handy for the longer bits.
Ordered & received the CXS18, does anyone else have the same issue as me… the CXS18 seems to have excessive runout in comparison to the C18 and TPC 18/4. It also sounds completely different & sounds like it’s grinding against the housing when run at slow speeds.
Shame they stopped the backwards compatibility with the older non 18v batteries, as i have a few 15v batteries from my C15 but they don't work on the CXS 18. 😐
i own over $15k festools, I have to say this is so stupid......you got t18+3. t18e(discontinued), PDC, TPC, and now CXS 18???why we need another 18v drill? the systainer is great, i love that, but the drill, nah. 12v CXS is my favorate drill of all my collection, this 18v version is just doest make any sense to me.
I’m glad you and others have said this. I just got the CXS 12v a few months ago after waiting for a while for it come back in stock at my local store, and seeing this video for a moment made me think they’re getting rid of the more compact version. Good news is that I love the small and real CXS.
Instead of using this dirty sales trick just release the cxs 12v already.. But no release the 18v version first dont talk about the 12v one. Make everyone waiting for a cxs upgrade buy a 18v one by making them think there wont come a smaller cxs. Then drop the 12v in a couple of months (the compact version everyone wants) And make your customers that bought a 18v version regret their decision and buy a 12v anyway.. aka selling 2 while you would otherwise only sell 1
@@th3undrgk1ng My apologies, I honestly don't know what point I was trying make because it makes no sense to me either. And it comes across as quite smug, not my intent, so I deleted it. 👍 I agree with GeraldYang1. Festool seems to be a little lost in what they are doing with their drill lineup and other tools IMHO. Like a battery powered table-top saw, is there really that big of a market for it? And a TS-60 with a Pre-Scoring Blade, again is there really a market or need for it? As far as how or why they release their new tools the way they do I really can't be sure. It doesn't seem to make sense from our perspective, but I'd bet that their marketing dept. is convinced it does.🤦♂ All the Best, Chuck.
