I began by planning a simple mobile base for this wonderful saw but then, at the end of filming, I added some extra bits - a drawer and a drop down battery storage area. These latter additions were not filmed - sorry. However, the drawer is not difficult and the drop down storage area just needs some careful thought.

Great video & Build Peter. Live the fact this unit is so mobile & with the extractor is fully battery powered! 👍 Just going on the internet now to see if that 0.5mm adjustment tool comes in other sizes! 😂

Love it, I'm very envious. I'd love to buy the table saw, but the prices here in Australia are prohibitively high. Maybe one day. 👍

The saw is amazing especially the 0.1 mm accuracy of saw height - perfect for trenching and lap joints. Cheers. Peter

Hey Peter, Beautiful little cart. I must say was shocked to hear you say you were going for a cup a coffee verses a spot of tea!😊

Hi Gary, Good to hear from you. I had already had 3 mugs of tea that day so a spot of coffee was just the job. Cheers. Peter

Great video Peter. We love Festool and don’t mind paying the premium for the great tools. But I’m in total agreement, the cost for what is just a metal frame with a top is stupid. Thanks for all that you do .

Hi Peter, If you have some time, could you make a video of your technique of ripping long strips with the CSC Sys, especially the tail end where it gets past the saw. The video shows only the entry but not the exit. Many thanks.
@NewBritWorkshop
@NewBritWorkshop 8 месяцев назад
No problem - it is easy enough. Towards the end (whilst there is still some cutting to do) just move to the out feed side of the saw and pull both the pieces towards you being careful to keep them going in a straight line. Peter

Hi Peter, Thank you. Just in case you happen to make a video with a long feed in the future, please consider to add a short clip. Many Thanks.

Not sure what you mean? Peter

@@NewBritWorkshop Sorry Peter, what I meant was to demonstrate the motion of moving to the outfeed. Is it with the blade still spinning or stopped? And I don't mean to provide a demo just to show this but only if you happen to film a video in the future that requires you to move to the outfeed. Thanks!

Kind Sir Peter...I have a question that I've wanted, for a long time. It's about your "Domino Tool"; and it scares me every time; I see you using it. And that is this: why don't you use the Big Knob on your left hand. Because, your fingers are right on that very small part, of the front piece. And you don't use the big Knob, instead. I believe it's MUCH safer; than using your fingers. So, wouldn't it be better; for all of your viewers: to see you, use the Knob? No disrespect atoll ever! And...remember that we ❤you kind Sr, always.

Hi Pat, I am very conscious of not getting my fingers on the far side of those cuts - especially with this project when I was doing 15 mm deep slots into 18 mm stock. Fear not, my fingers are quite safe. Using the big knob requires the stock to be very stable and for small pieces that would require clamping for every operation. Cheers. Peter

If you have ever used a domino you will know that it’s more or less impossible to hurt yourself with it. The cutter is totally behind the fence. I do the same as Peter myself in some circumstances
