Awesome review of a unique vacuum. That thing is a beast and it definitely looks well made. As a detailer I know having a good vacuum is a must have. However for the price we could buy 7 rigids, so it’s hard to justify. But I’d take one at a much lower price in a heart beat. Love your content.

Have you had the chance to use this vacuum on the "impossible carpet"? How does it perform?

Great review. I have this dust extractor and I am a woodworker. It works great as a dust extractor but I also use it as a vacuum to clean my shop and car. I own several Festool products and I can tell you, you made a good choice. The company also stands by their product 100%.

I´d buy it just for the house lol. The bags are cheap as hell compared to the competition here in germany. You know, the dysons have around 250AirWatt for the most powerful ones... yeah this thing has 1500AW. We also do some occasional woodworking in the house. Also wanna build a cnc at some point and need reliable dust collection for that, soooooo.... yea

@@velocityautoworks7959 Here in germany they cost around 250 bucks without the tubes and floor tool.

It is not a Vacuum. It is mainly a dust extractor that can be used as a vacuum. It is a tool that offers great benefits to those who do carpentry, woodworking, and painting. In other words, it is designed to work with your sander, saw, and router. Festool dust extractors are considered the best in the market. Two things that are worth to mention: They are made in Germany (not in china). They are built to last. And like you've said, everything is high quality. Thus the high price tag. If I hired you and you showed up with festool tools in your arsenal, I would definitely trust you would do a good job. Thanks for sharing. Cheers!

Great video man! I'm a woodworker who has been eying this since it dropped and I'm about to get it. I'd been wondering how it would do cleaning my car or around the house, good to know and awesome to see it in action! And solid overview of all the functions! Surprised you didn't grab the Bluetooth remote/button ($45) as I could see you using that to turn it on and off while in the car or away from the unit. There's also a long life bag available from Festool for $125, compared to buying the expendable bags. My first time to your channel, good stuff dude!

Hi. Do you think this can replace vac and wet extractor?
@joevanseeters2873
@joevanseeters2873 4 года назад
That is one SWEET machine! The Ferrari of vacuum cleaners for sure. Perfect high end vacuum for detailers, without a doubt. I just bought myself a "GEORGE" numatic vac due to the fact i've wanted a numatic for quite some time due to their incredible suction power, but the plus with the George numatic was that it also has a really nice wet extractor built in with separate wet hoses/dry hoses and a ton of top quality attachments. For a weekend enthusiast, it's probably overkill, but it's a worthwhile investment. George was about $650 with the extra bags which are super high quality cloth hepa bags. Had I not already bought the George, I would have gotten this machine for sure. I use the vacuum way more than the extractor so the vacuum function is way more important to me, although having both a high quality vacuum AND the wet extractor in ONE MACHINE was my main reason for purchasing it and both functions worth incredibly well. This FESTOOL vacuum looks VERY well made which is a main selling point. I also like the slide out filter and that green hose looks like the best vacuum hose i've ever seen. George might have to go bye bye one day and i'll upgrade to this.

Hey brother! Donovan here from Gloss Boss Auto Detailing in Fisher Branch, Manitoba, Canada. We use the Milwaukee battery powered Wet/Dry Vacuum. We are VERY impressed with it, it is COMPACT, it holds the hose and all the attachments inside the vacuum! It's a quarter of the size of this unit you are reviewing. We run 6 amp batteries in it, and one battery EASILY lasts one car detail. Just letting you know what we use! Have a great day!

I love mine. I am a woodworker, the bluetooth is actually super useful because when you are using a sander or saw with this the extractor will turn on whenever you start the tool and turn off when you turn off the tool. it takes away all the dust from sanders and saws. but I think it also makes for a great vacuum , I use it to clean my own vehicles and it works so well, much better and less noisy than a shop vac and not all clunky and round. it is well worth the money.

I had no idea that anyone other than us woodworkers used CT Vacs! I've got two of them in my little garage woodshop. Pricey stuff, but you know, when compared with other premium pro brands (not the stuff you find in Home Depot), the prices are not really that far out of line. Beware though, the Festool green coolaid is VERY addictive. You always say that i'll just buy the one; then it escalates from there... Your garage fills up with the green stuff and your wallet empties of the green stuff! Oh, actually, the little Bluetooth Remote Control you can buy from Festool (just need the $45 remote button, not the whole $80 thing) is sort of useful too. You attach it to the end of your hose and it's quite convenient. But on second thought, where you're using the hose, you'd probably just be accidentally hitting the remote button all the time on car interior stuff, so maybe you're better off without it.

Nice overview of this dust extractor. I have this same model unit and I really like all the features it has for my woodworking tasks. Knowing it also works great to clean out my truck is a big benefit too. The hose on this unit is 11.5 feet, which really helps when doing many tasks. The accessory connectors can be bought with the Sustainer enclosure that also fits perfectly on top of this unit and you can still open the lid to get the hose out or to store it.

Just started using my new Mini 1. First thing I noticed is inside the tank, the filter is on 1 side and the dust port is in the Center.... so there’s no way for 1/2 the bag to fill up once the dust fills up to the centre where the dust comes in. 1st time I checked the bag it was rock hard full from filter to dust port without a spec in the other half of the bag.
