can only say one thing about this. Just bought my 2nd Festool vacuum cleaner. the first one belonged to my father who is retired. it was used for an average of 4 hours every week for 25 years. and it still works, just the plastic has worn off and is starting to break down. Hope this one works for another 25 years!

You can buy new cheap VC every week. For less money during this 25 years. Festools make sense for some specific professional work only.

First problem is that Parkside has no global supply policy. Which means a tool available in one country might never released to another EU country or release 3 to 4 years later (so a bit outdate because opponents had the time to strike back). It is like LIDL want to limit their success 🤣
@DanielBulyovcsity
@DanielBulyovcsity 4 месяца назад
parts availability is also a big issue. While there is warranty they replace the device automatically and never intend to fix anything. The second hand websites are littered with broken parkside tools, you can buy them by the boxes. While festool provides parts for their 90s tools and they give you a new tool if part no longer available. Obviously this difference is arguable if you can buy multiple paskside vacuums from the price of one festool

Lidl/parkside is the seller they don't make the things themself. They make contracts with 3rd party companies so they can sell their stuff under a bigger name. These tools are usually very cheap with sometimes good quality. People who buy & use them don't know how to repair tools themself. & getting tools repaird by professionals can be more expensive than just buying a new tool. If you want to repair your tools, you shouldn't buy no-name brands that may not exist in 10years.
@testman9541
@testman9541 4 месяца назад
@@berndarndt9924 Same thing applies to Ikea 👌 but you can get products (even electrical ones) on every EU country, you get good supply rate and you also get good repair. And Ikea is also using global supply chain, suppliers and workshop using their own brand, and maybe sometime even use same suppliers in Asia or Europe that LIDL used 😁 So these are only bad excuses for LIDL 😘 FYI, in France for years we were notnable to order online tools. Now it is possible, but the supply rate is still better in Belgium for instance.
@berndarndt9924
@berndarndt9924 4 месяца назад
@@testman9541 Ikea is about giving your parts to self assemble though. So it's on brand to have good a good supply chain. If you buy electrical tools in supermarkets, it on brand to not expect a part supply but to expect them to just replace broken tools with new ones within warranty. So yeah, I'd love for ikea to sell electrical tools.

Looks like a good budget shop vac. Of course the real question is how it performs in real applications. I have a similar model Festool vac with an orbital sander of the same brand, and the dust collection is phenomenal. Even when sanding a large plaster surface, the vac keeps up without slacking off. I had a cheaper shop vac choke on large amounts of such fine dust.

Thanks for the info,as i do home reforms,many vacs i tried ,even famous brands,end breaking from the plaster dust. The only resisting so far is an ashes vac for chimneys a friend sent me from Romania. Tipical romanian cheap obscure brand,the label with the brand an caracteristics felt off shortly,but it does the job. Bad part is it doesn't have connexion for other electric tools,was not made for that,i just improvised a relay in serie with an applied socket wich strats it automatically when the plugged tool starts. Good side,the upper part with the motor can be turned upside down and fits into the ashes bucket,reducing the size to half,good for transport and storage,also,to clean it,only need to empty the bucket,easy task😄

Well i wouldnt say H class is much much better than L class. Its just better but the difference is 0.0002mm in particle sizes. Theres a reason why most shop vacuums are L class. Unless you want to vacuum a laboratorium L class is good enough for shops and build sites. This test just proved me i dont want to spend crazy money on parkside stuff. if i would look for a budget shop vacuum i take Bosch GAS 12-25 PL. Its cheaper, better brand, better service aviability and the performance numbers are same except filtration class where i am satisfied with L.
@icku

Class H is for harmful particles like asbestos which are still quite common at old houses and construction sites. Those classes are not just some fancy feature to brag about. Not to mention there is class M in between and i don't see a Festool vacuum with such a filter either.

@@icku idk where are you coming from but here its forbiden to work with azbestos for public. Only companies with special permission cam safely dispose it. I stand behind what i wrote. Thanks for this review. I was waiting for a proper review of this vac since I first saw an image. I have a couple questions that maybe you could answer. Filter cartridges are interchangeable? Because it's easy to find cheap festool-compatible filters, but if this have the same dimensions but a different plastic border maybe they won't fit. If they are, does using the non-hepa filter of the festool on the parkside increase the airflow or negative pressure? In theory a coarser filter should let more air though and increase the flow (not the pressure). Thanks! Liked!

Really nice test thanks. Thats a shame for those who use BT tools but i believe they will eventually sort it out at some point if it is purely a software issue. Or get a New vacuum revision out as they usualy do. Anyways my first thoughts were that if i need such a vacuum cleaner as a pro, id buy the one with the best aftersale service and product design, which i know both are lacking with lidl/parkside in France as i had to deal with them twice already. I got a regular parkside shop vacuum with an auto start socket that serves its purpose well attached to a mitre Saw, it is good for the Price and i'd buy another one if i need another stationary Vac. I also havefestool powertools and a CTM26 AC and ive got nothing to complain about(except the Price), the bluetooth Button sure is ultra extensive but i cant get over it today. Not having to lean to start the vac seems like a lazy people issue until you get to use it 😅

Remote startup functionality. For the festool, they sell a bluetooth kit that comes with the part that goes in the vac (the ct midi doesn't need this; it's built in, so you can buy just the remote) and a small remote you can attach to the hose or use handheld. It's an amazing feature to have so that you don't need to be near the vac to turn it on. Great review! Looks like Parkside totally messed up the wireless functionality. But at a fraction of the price it might still be the better deal for diy. I wonder how well the vacuums perform when they are 75% full for example.

5:31 Oh, that’s a bummer, Parkside. The ability to take the main filter out without the need of a tool is quite nice. If the designers at Parkside absolutely wanted a screwed-on filter, then it would have been nice if there was a small holder for a screwdriver near the filter (it’s best to supply the right screwdriver with the vac ex works).

@@dienowplease3565 Parkside is developing its brand right now. Do you believe a company paying Arnold millions does not have plans for the future? Harald

Parkside isn't copying the design of festool/bosch/etc any more than bmw does from audi, and they certainly aren't paying a licence for that. It's just that certain designs are more functional than others. And well, you can't pantent funktional design. (At least not where parkside is sold)

So 30 stand for 30 liters right ? Festool weight around 13kg + 20 kg if the bag is full of mixed dust, most part of Time wood, plaster,etc, so 20 to 30 kilos fully loaded.
