Thank you for continuously putting out videos. They are a joy to watch and have brought me a smile if things weren't optimal. Never would I have ever thought that a repairman who works on power tools could make me excited like that
Ireland is 230v at the sockets. Before battery tools were actually useful building sites used 110v isolated supplies as its was much safer as the way the transformer is setup a the earth point on the secondary side is the at the centre point of the output so a Live to earth connection will only be 55V which is far far safer to get a whack off and less likely to kill vs 110v or 230v directly.
If your a diyer you can have 230v tools, if your on sites you have to use 110v due to health and safety requirements. It’s incase you cut the cord or something and get electrocuted as 110v can not kill you while 230v can
What do you not like about Mafell? Yes they are a stupid price compared to other tools, but so is anything that's not made in China. You said before that the switch was too cheap for the price of the saw, but a saw that costs 200 euro to repair in 20 years of constant use sounds good to me. Im not berating you, just a genuine question.
The Bafell is the "premium" line of Borscht. It's outrageously expensive, more expensive than the Festering Stool, and there's nothing special to it. Nobody should buy them and they should go out of business, they're that outrageous.
@@allanm1406 Mafell are solid IMO. Yes they seem overpriced and maybe they could use better switches but other than that they're very well thought out, high quality tools.
