YAY!! I need help. I just screwed a recent attempt up. : (. after buying the good Parmigianino etc., I still messed it up. Thank you for doing the real deal, as usual!
Christine! Thank you for sharing this comfort dish. I love its simplicity. I'm still making your crinkle cake. Delicious as always and will add this to my list! Also, I do prefer to see you on camera as well but will respect your preference!
I love your videos and so glad to see you posting again. Regarding your new video format….I like seeing the combination of you and the food. You are my ‘go to’ when I want to learn the authentic/proper method for preparing recipes. Thank you for sharing your recipes and expertise.
@@ChristineCushing We have a discount grocery store out here that gets an awesome selection of cheeses for under $5! We’re super spoiled!! We love switching it up and adding different cheeses with the parm to change the flavor but I agree with you, a little cream is our preference. We LOVE the creaminess. Every cheese I add, I add a little cream to help with emulsion. Cream is also NECESSARY for reheating in my opinion. The oils in the cheeses always Separate, it absolutely needs a cream or milk added to help recreate that creamy element the 2nd time. My opinion for any cheese based dish.
Oh, my god, as always, Christine --- I wish it were from your hands to my mouth! You have impeccable taste and I love that you marry this elegance with the charm of a greedy warmth!! ♥🥰🇬🇷
Hi Christine! I made this fettuccini last night along with some chicken breast sautéed (from your chicken piccata recipe I made the night before) and may I tell you, wow, excellent!!! Just the perfect amount of parm-reg. My husband said the fettuccini should be a regular reoccurring side dish for dinner! Delightfully delicious!!! It has been a Chef Christine Cushing week here at our house every day this week! I regularly enjoy making your main courses and desserts! You are amazing and have a great understanding of flavors and how to pair them!!! ❤️😋❤️
I agree with Ng, it is nicer to see you😊. I love the idea of adding just a touch of cream. The original is delicious, but I think the cream will make it even better! I was so excited to see you back! I wish you a wonderful spring.
RE: Format Christine, In your previous format, the camera was always on you. You were the star of the show. In the lamb shanks video, the camera was on the lamb shanks. The lamb shanks were the star of the show. In this fettucine alfredo video, the camera was sometimes on you, sometimes on the food. You and the pasta both were stars of the show. So the question is who do you want to be the star: you, the food, or both?
@@ChristineCushing I'm not talking about your profile picture. I really like the cartoon of you. The thumbnail is the picture of the video that is presented to the viewer for the video before they watch the video. I think that more zoomed in photo of your Fettuccine Alfredo would've made the plate look much more attractive. Your current thumbnail now just looks like a blob of noodles on a plate. Especially to the majority of viewers who watch on a small screen like their smartphones. I think that your shot at 6:22 would've made a MUCH more attractive thumbnail. You can see the details of the noodles and the cracked black pepper contrasts nicely on this closer shot of your finished dish. Don't get me wrong, your current thumbnail doesn't look horrible. But if you would've put some parsley on top of it, or even as garnish on the side, I think that it would've given your thumbnail picture more visual depth, and for lack of a better word, character. Your other thumbnails that I've seen look good. I especially like your Spanakopita thumbnail. The color and the angle of the picture are nice. I like the video a lot. You taught me a few new things. Thanks for taking the time out to listen to a small RU-vidr like myself.
I didn't see it in my subscription, but it eventually showed up on my home page, so did I overlook it somehow, I'm not sure because I really enjoy your vlogs.
I always used spaghetti noodles and the pre-grated jars of cheese when I was growing up. Nice to find out I was making "authentic" Alfredo.😂 I like this format but it still seems lacking somehow. I loved the COVID episodes, so maybe it is the impression I got that you were actually cooking while filming? Not sure if this helps, but I will continue to watch. You are terrific!
Thank you for your thoughts. It's much more challenging to shoot the previous format and make the video look great with good close ups. See you in the kitchen.
