Sabrina Ionescu drained the game-winning three with 0.4 seconds left to lift the New York Liberty past Indiana Fever. Ionescu recorded 25 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists for the Liberty while Betnijah Laney dropped 30 points in the victory. Tierra McCowan added a big double-double with 22 points and 16 rebounds while Kelsey Mitchell scored 23 points for the Fever in the losing effort.

Incredible first game to start the WNBA season, Sabrina Ionesco with the game winner, that’s really a good sign for the new season, don’t sleep on New York Liberty 🗽 now, there going to be one of the best teams , hopefully they stay healthy so we could see there full potentiality, how about them rookies Didi Richards & Michaela Onyenwere balling there looking good, & if we see a fully healthy Sabrina Ionesco yeah New York Liberty definitely going to the playoffs

That killer clutch 3ptr by Sabrina tells the rest of the league that New York Liberty 🗽 is not horsing around. We're here to really play. And the 3pt shooting is looking better with Witchcomb on the team. And waiting for Natasha Howard to return. Oh boy! Rookie looking good out there too

Just switching over from the NBA to the WNBA this year. This my first WNBA game and WOW. Extremely impressed. Ionescu, Mitchell, Delaney...all them ladies BALLIN 🏀

There are some things that the Liberty needs to work, like holding to leads in games, containing Kelsey Mitchell and having Gray and Holmes guarding McCowan instead of Shook

They need to protect the paint better and grab rebounds. Offensive rebounds almost won against New York Liberty. McGowan is a problem in the paint.

Does anyone know if Han Xu is still part of the NY Liberty roster? If so, will she be playing this season? I know she opted out of the 2020 WNBA season but I didn't hear any news of her skipping the 2021 season as well.
