I know a lot of you are saying that you couldn't hear the first girl or she wasn't that good and people only liked her cause she got bullied but that's not true, the reason people liked her was because 1) she had raw talent and 2) she made an emotional attachment with that song that is really really hard to find, she showed everything through that one song and it made it so much more powerful, even the best most precise controlled singers out there cannot compete with that song simply because of the emotion in it which the majority of them can't achieve, it reaches out and touches everyone and that is one of the best possible singer you could ever get, I probably didn't word that too well at all I just wanted to try and explain why everyone loved her so much, she was actually one of the first and only performances I ever cried to
Jill Jensen aka the first girl and demi lovato, are my idols, my role models, my life savers, they were there for me when no one else did, i love them so much ♥
Jillian is freaking amazing. I've been by her side since this audition. She doesn't suck. She was crying during this. If she sucked why did she make it on American Idol? She didn't tell them her bullying story. They still loved her.
In my opinion, the talent in UK singing competitions are better than that of US. The singers have more talent, and the standards are higher. The best singers in US singing competitions are the average ones in british shows, most of these singers wouldn't make it that far in this british show due to higher quality and potential - I doubt most of the US contestants would make it past boot camp. Also, the US singing competitions are much cheesier and cringeworthy, and the sob stories are overworked and melodramatic. Honest opinion.
there's something about last performance... she can't sing better than Beyonce, she hasn't better voice... but there's something what makes you cry when she's singing :)
