THE ANSWER: ALL THE SHAPES ARE WHAT MAKES A CUBE (as in origami, you fold to make a cube). The shape that was made as a solution is the only one missing.
Lol, this was one of the trickier puzzles in Fez that I was able to figure out, and I STILL needed the Internet to help me out some! There are 10 shapes on the wall, all of them have 6 joined squares, which reminded me of unfolded cubes. I did a google search and found that there are actually 11 ways to unfold a cube. The pattern you see in the video is the only one not shown on the wall. :)
@@kole9158yea but there are lots of other combinations that dont work and arent one of the ones inscribed on the wall. ita not a clever puzzle. its the worst one in the game and the other puzzles arent that great. ita a beautiful game but the puzzles are pretty lazy. some of them use the rotating mechanic in an interesting way but if you look at the comment section for this video, almost everyone finished this one accidentally. its an awful puzzle imo. i still like the game tho. its a work of art.
Odd, when I made the actual shapes, nothing happened. But when I accidentally had two blocks overlapping so you could only see one of them, and had two touching that end to end so it looked like a line of three blocks, I was holding the final block and then accidentally threw it, and it went flying way away form all the other blocks and landed off on its own, the anticube appeared, it wasn't even remotely close to a shape.
one of my blocks fell through the solid floor, thus rendering me unable to jump back up with it. in a fit of rebellion, i threw the cube off the edge of the ledge. the game regenerated another one next to the others, and it promptly rewarded me with the anti-cube? before that, one of my blocks also "fell" inside a cube underneath it. odd, seeing as the cube below it was sitting on the ledge? most of us came here for the same reason!
Funny thing happened to my when I came across this puzzle. I knew I have to do something with the blocks and the icons but don't know how to solve. I put the blocks like that somehow out randomness and I thought... Well this i legit :P
Yeah, I get it too, but I have no idea how I solved it. I was just stacking the cubes randomly into steps to get to the top of that column, shifted the camera around a bit and it suddenly solved itself. :/
I donno how but I got 2 anticubes from this room. I was just doing rigt turns and lefts, it gave me one. I was like wuuut?? Checked the map and the secret icon was still on.. so I did solve the puzzle and get another cube. Anyone?

There's a hidden Anti-Cube you can get on ANY map by rotating your screen a certain way. Most people get it completely randomly on accident causing much confusion.
