Ahoy my friends! Today I am taking on the undefeatable Ice Goddess herself, EX2 Shiva!!! A few days ago I thought this battle was impossible, but with some careful tweaking and memorization of the fight itself, I was able to secure victory!! And in a most epic fashion as well!! Finally downed ex 2 and man it was down to the last split second! I thought I lost casting my last fira and put the phone down.. and that's when I heard the victory sound😂 takes about 4,100 noble memories to max out the Shiva growth chart after ex 2 unlock. Great job, you clearly put a lot of work into this. I think I am beyond that at this point, even though my fire team is quite solid :-D will wait until we get 5-10 more levels and/or next limit break of items.
Finally beat it tonight after getting ob6 stream guard for Zack on the lb banner. With twinkling star for physical matk down. the matk-all from seph and Vincent sub weapons. ice resist sub weapons from summons. An ob6 headphones from guild battle tokens for more ice resist and mdef all. Dual heals barret and aerith. Aerith had umbrella to debuff mdef and fairy for heals. And barret with matk up weapon on main hand for the cure+all materia slot and his new shark slayer for quick sigil breaks. Crimson on barret and hellfire on Zack and breath lb on aerith … only got leviathan ex2 left to go 🥳🥳🥳
The last heavens strike took out Zack. She was like 5% hp - luckily I had a Fira on aerith and enough matk with sun umbrella to finish her off in 2 more casts
If you need more durability, I switched out aerith for cloud as a healer (lol only time Ive use him to heal) I had bandage sword OB6 mainhand, it gives great hp and ice resist, even with ob2 crystal sword, healing wasn’t really an issue. The mdef buff let me build up more damage on red and zach so I could actually break the gauges without getting oneshot. Took probably 30 tries lmao. Great guide like always!
Great job. The worse part for me is unlocking all new stream nodes which requires 60 parts for each one !! Almost +400 stamina potions have to be spent for full lvl 10 ,Not fair... I will wait for next Shiva Co-op , hope she drops new parts there .
Still working on my Shiva EX1 prob going to be a while until I can clear EX2, BUT I have spent the last 2 days trying to beat the solo Turks crash and I FINALLY did it this morning! Aerith, Seph, Barrett FTW. I changed out Seph to be Fire build with his outfit and his AOE Firaga. I only put Bio on Aerith so Barrett could focus more on uffing Def and Matk. Managed to get bio on Elena more and I was able to do a little more damage using my summons during Rudes Aegis phase. I could build them back up in time enough to use Ifrit and Shiva to kill off Rude and Reno. I saved Bahamut for Elena(Which in hindsight I should've used Bahamut and Shiva). But just before Elenas 2 OHKO attack I was able to get 1 more Ifrit summon off and finished her before the OHKO attack landed! Man I am SUPER STOCKED that fight was so fun!
I don't have Aerith's weapon from the FFIX crossover. It's a pity that I wasn't playing very effectively back then, because practically only Sephiroth's weapon is in constant use for me. I found this team setup on RU-vid earlier, and even without this wand and with Zack's OB2 weapon, I saw someone win this fight, and I myself, having a similar setup and OB3 with this weapon, was unable to beat her first Ice Age bar.
Yeah with lower OB levels you will need to compensate with a MDEF break tho at times Shiva becomes immune to it. Finding the min-max to maximize damage while surviving is possible but will be very time consuming i think. Even at OB6 this took me quite a lot of tries 🙏🏽
Anyone else think the grind for her new pieces are beyond ridiculous? Maaaaan they could of at least gave us a way to convert the old pieces into new ones, i have just under 3k sat there doing nothing 😩 i can beat ex 2 i have the team and know the fight my patience is waring thin atm tho and experiencing burnout from 4 straight hours beating ex 2 bahaifrit last night lol . This fight is also ridiculous tho might be worth waiting for silence esuna to make this fight less tedious
Yeah i feel that dude. I havent started farming the memories yet but ive heard terrible things. I think ill take slow approach haha and let my sanity rest
You either have fire magic zack or fire qerith. Thats about it. Because of this i pulled on aeriths banner and will wishlist her weapon. So ex2 shiva see you in 2 months
Bro slow down so I can catch up to you 😂. I just down ex1 with tifa instead of red xiii with about the same strategy of matk down last night too. It doesn't look like that team has enough power for ex2 as fire imperial and matk up are needed, plus my xiii is crappy built 😂. Gonna need to build him up butI don't have aerith rod, so what do you think my options are for matk up? Btw nice guide as always bro!
Hahaha i know this was a busy week! You can either use Sum Umbrella or Snowflake for MDEF down instead but there are instances in the fight where Shiva is immune to MDEF down so you will have to learn proper timing. How good is your main Fire DPS wep? OB level?
@ZeroBionic anything is possible, but if you drop the matk up and you have less than OB6 stream guard you need to enhance dps somehow. Mana Breach will be ineffective for duration. Tifa can equip MDEF down gloves and drop sigil break wep i suppose? Kaiser gloves i think? Try that
Sun Umbrella. If you cant buff, do the opposite. But keep in mind that Shiva can be part of the time immune to MDEF down so have to learn when to use it
but how did Sephiroth's weapon rise from ob 6 to ob 8 and zack dacob's weapon from 5 to ob 6 in such a short time? and they didn't even give specific parts🤣 I managed to beat the ex 1 with an ftp build by zack magical attacker with the ftp weapon that is made by ifrit but the ex 2 is impossible with that build
Thats because when I pulled for Seph/Zack i got enough weapon parts for higher OB levels than what i enhanced it to. Good eye btw :) So basically i only took Zack’s sword to OB2 but had enough to OB6. Then when i came across something that was challenging him i bumped it up a notch. You’ll see in the last month his sword gradually go up as the content became harder. Same w Seph. I took it to OB6, then raised it when i realized it would help against this fight. If i had the parts to OB10 them (i dont they at max now) i still wouldnt take them to OB10 because then my guides are far less useful for players 🙏🏽
@@MrBuddy.....X not specific weapon parts, i had protector's blade & stream guard parts saved from when i summoned for them. Well, actually a mix of both. But like i said when i pulled Zack's stream guard, i got enough dupes to get it OB5, then used specific parts to OB6. For Seph, I got enough to OB6, then used weapon specific for OB8. Does this make sense? lol
