Agreed! Limits wouldn’t be sufficiently worth using if not for invincibility frames, given that they lock characters into long animations. Also, once characters routinely hit damage caps, other moves can have better DPS. It’s also worth mentioning that giving Limits full invincibility gives an interesting trade-off that didn’t exist before - namely, players can either use them on enemies who are staggered for bonus damage or on non-staggered enemies for protection during hectic situations or hard-to-avoid attacks.

Awesome job! I hadn't noticed how the limit gauge still charges while you're invulnerable and getting hit while in limit break😂, that actually explains a lot and it's super useful! Timing it so you literally get hit as much as possible when you activate it is a great move.

This strat is even easier than Yuffie's spam lol. Tbf, yeah you gotta time some parries, but its waaay less time consuming to learn all of that. Great stuff mate!

This gives me a few ideas particularly to have the enemy attack Tifa and perfect block to build her limit cause I typically play cloud cause I have him as a healer/mage for party and the enemies are targeting him most of the time

how on earth is your limit charging so fast? The only thing I can think of is that limit charge rate is related to the amount of HP you have or something idk

The lower your HP, faster your Limit Gauge charges when you block or as you can see in the video when i use Limit Break and they hit me my Gauge charges almost instantly but I'm invulnerable during the Limit Break so i can spam it and that's the whole point of the HP-MP Swap Materia. It's like a mechanic in the game that you have to find out yourself by playing and testing.

@@KalmashinV ohh I see, so that's why they give very vulnerable HP but the limit break gauge almost instantly filled...even though there is a drawback like that but once you able to take control, it's like the rest of the battle become so much easy like that...I think I need to learn more to do this, the more battle face on the next chapter, it seems like the old fashioned fight will no longer be effective...thank you for the guidance!

is there a reason for stead fast block instead of another luck up? Nice as always. This is the only challenge i can't do solo, can't get past gilgamesh. I was able to do both bonds of friendship and to be a hero solo with cloud without using the magic build.

Tifa already has enough CRT. And Steadfast gives you more ATB when you Block in case i need it for Staggered Enemies. But ofc you can put one more Luck Up if you want to it doesn't really matter.

Actually the Precision Defence Focus Materia let's you block Grab types attacks. Steadfast Block just gives you Less dmg taken when you block and more ATB.

There is a mechanic in this game which is the lower your HP is the faster your Limit Gauge charges when you block or take dmg. But since I'm Immune while casting Limit Breaks the game count it as a have blocked so my Limit Gauge charges super fast and with HP-MP Swap Materia I'm always on 1 hit from death.

Basically yes, because the lower your HP = the faster your limit charges

Reprieve and reraise materia gives you a bit of breathing room, you can use reraise over and over since you have 5000 MP. You could try doing the individual summon fights to learn their movesets a bit better to improve at blocking. (Also the fire&ice + elemental on your armour means you don’t have to worry about Phoenix’s bullshit moves).

Question: Why the Magic Up materia?? For better damage on Sonic Boom and Plasma Discharge? Cause I didn't see you use any other magic attacks. Wouldn't Skill Master or ATB Stagger materia be better to get more ATB?

It's exactly for Sonic Boom and Plasma, I don't think you need more ATB charges. The whole idea is to spam Limit Breaks.

HP-MP Swap materia just breaks the limit gauge feature, especially with perfect blocking on low health and the Enhanced Expeditionary Medal giving you access to insta LVL3 Limit breaks
