@@kattphatt I could be wrong here, but I do remember City getting done for that in the past - getting additional funding that they said was equity and the PL said no. If that is the case (and I am not sure), then surely this too be yet another example of a double standard no?

How is it just as bad? One was within the rules at the time, and one is against the rules and a deliberate attempt to circumvent the rules by dishonesty .

As per the 115, the PL is alleging City circumvented the rules. Are you just confused or what? Also, City brought the lawsuit vs the PL Lastly, the PL was saying they dont want there to be the ability for club to circumvent the rules and get an unfair financial advantage and hence APT. Yet for whatever the reason, they had no issues with giant interest free loans, which is absolutely an unfair financial advantage and now the rules are being changed to address that and the illegality of the APT rules.

So if City & Newcastle can sponsor themselves for 10 billion a year you think that's in the best interest of football? You don't even believe that ffs 😂

@@mikem8211 bro, at this point I couldn't give a f anymore... the league clearly plays favourites, and I'll continue to watch my team and enjoy it. But I can't handle the turmoil it brings to my life if a get too involved in it, because it's never been fair and whatever happens with the case , it won't be fair. I don't think city and Newcastle should be allowed to buy the league, but I also don't think the stupid PSR rules are fair currently, it only benefits the established "big 6" , how do they help a Palace or forest from spending to compete? @@jahidulislamjihad7341 Borrowing money at no interest is different to having overinflated sponsorship according to the profit & loss. If there are 2 teams, Team A & Team B, and they both have the same financial position. If Team A borrows 100M from the owners then that goes on the P&L as the loan is a debt. If Team B gets overinflated sponsorship of 100M, that does not incur a debt that appears on the P&L. S0 Team B records a profit (or less loss) of 100M more than team A and has more money to spend. There is a significant difference

@@jahidulislamjihad7341 You are missing the point here. Its all about the Profit & Loss (P&L). If there are 2 teams, lets say A & B and they have the same turnover, but Club A receives a 100M loan from the owners & B receives 100M in overinflated sponsorship. Team A has to report that on their profit & loss as a debt still to be paid. B doesnt have to. So Team B's P&L shows they made 100M more than team A. And as we all know, your profit is considered in determining FFP. Team B obviously then has a significant advantage in dealing with FFP & has 100M more to spend enabling the ability to spend 100M more on players. There is a reason why City chose sponsorship rather than doing interest free loans.

And anyway, the Premier League’s rules it introduced are unlawful, that’s why City have won. They’ve acted with discrimination against City, whilst allowing clubs like Arsenal to receive interest-free loans off of their owners.

@@tomben6180 they haven’t won, it’s not illegal for related party payments to be reviewed and if not arms length commercially viable rejected … it’s the rules of the organisation and if clubs don’t like it they can leave .. from what I can tell and it’s not clear, city “won” 2 out of 25 challenges… 1) time it takes PL to review which is frankly irrelevant and petulant from city given time that have dragged out 115 charges and 2) interest free loans, which again is frankly irrelevant to them but seems to hurt others… and to be fair they have a point

You can try and pretend otherwise if it helps you sleep at night but the big two City challenged, the February 2021 and February 2024 amendments, that are the ones that have actually blocked City’s sponsorships, have been wiped from the rulebook. There’s a one page summary online of the findings, you can look it up, your summation is disingenuous at best, completely false at worst. 1) the ruling decided the 2021 and 2024 amendments were UNLAWFUL. 2) the ruling decided the way the Premier League went about applying the rules was “UNLAWFUL”, “UNFAIR” and “UNREASONABLE”. 3) the ruling decided the Premier League purposely delayed and didn’t allow City response, which was against their own rules, that stopped City acquiring a new sponsor. 4) the ruling decided the Premier League acted with “discrimination” against City, whilst allowing similar deals elsewhere and worse, has allowed interest-free loans from other clubs to help meet PSR. City are due BIG compensation and have to indicated they will go for the full amount. Oh and the narrative that it’s City’s fault the 115 case has taken so long is a total lie, they made a request to change the KC overseeing the proceedings, as he’s a member at Arsenal, that was sorted over a year ago, the Premier League suggested the date and to quote Richard Masters, the Premier League Chairman “these things take a lot of time, there are thousands of documents to get through and both sides need time to prepare”.

They were minor dicrepancies in the rulings. The league are literally going to go back and change the rules to include shareholders and bring back atp. Nothing is changing
