Compared to the Bluetti AC200P, I'd keep the $300 in my pocket and every time I have to plug it in to the wall smile that I'm not dinking around with a huge power brick. Thanks for doing these reviews. If it get monotonous and repetitive, I for one understand and am still glad you take the time to do these.

I bought my FFPower P2001 when Jasonoid got his. The first unit I received failed to stay on, and was returned. The second unit I was told I could keep incorrectly, and I modified it making the fans stay on all the time, which kept the unit from shutting off. But customer service wanted the power station back so I shipped my second unit back as well. About a month later they sent me the second power station back repaired, and I haven't had any trouble since. The fans are indeed very quiet, it has temp probes on the heatsinks to measure the temp, and if it's cool enough, the fans aren't even running. On the other hand if you are pulling a lot of watts and you are outside on a summer day, the fans can crank up much louder. It may have 2000wh of cells, but they must have a low efficiency conversion or higher reserve. As such I treat this as a 1500wh station. With the promo code it makes it attractive.

I really love my old CN505. The firmware has always been pretty good, in particular when operating in permanent settings as a UPS. I readily choose my older first-generation CN505 over the double-blasted GoLabs junk which decides to turn the AC off after a period of time for no reason. The firmware also works better than the Bluetti (EB55) with regards to handling power failures and droops. If the Bluetti decides to stop charging because (for example) the DC input goes out of bounds (but doesn't drop to zero), it doesn't start charging again, ever. Manual intervention is required. Its algorithm doesn't reset unless DC input cycles all the way down to 0V. The CN505, on the otherhand, recovers from power sags without requiring any intervention. The only issue with the CN505 was that it had 1st generation specs in terms of DC input ranges and output wattages... not their fault given how old the design is. I'm really glad you tested out of bound voltages and recovery on this new unit. It makes me want to go out and buy it to replace the Bluetti's that I have to baby along due to their poor firmwares. sub-10ms switching means that they are probably switching on the zero-crossing of the internal inverter which is required when switching between two AC sources that are not phase-synchronized. 60hz = 16.6mS duty cycle with two zero-crossings. So each zero-crossing is 8.3mS. Then it comes down to the relay switch time which the firmware has to lead a little. So this firmware appears to be quite smart, which I really like. Also happy about your mentioning the fan use and noise. The Bluetti and the GoLabs are terrible... the fan is either off or it is on and noisy, with nothing in the middle. And also really happy about 13.6V DC output. That's awesome. It is exactly what it should be whereas the GoLabs output is too low at 12.3V. The GoLabs can't drive many devices (let alone at sufficient power) because the output voltage is too low and often drops below the cut-off voltage of the devices plugged into it. Damn.... I love this FFPOWER review. Ok, the capacity isn't the best. But damn it... everything else is perfect. It takes care of everything without any of the quirks of the Bluetti or the GoLabs. If I had any complaint about missing features at all on the P2001, it's that the AC charger doesn't have the ability to charge at a lower rate... so I can't put two of these on the same house circuit (for example) because they could blow the breaker if they both tried to charge at the same time. -Matt

Bought this last month. arrived with 40% charge. It charged quickly to 100% using electric plug (110). I ran a tv (55") for 12 hours and still had over 60%. I plugged in a rice cooker and ran it to 0%. Then charged it to 100% in just under 2 hours at 1100 watts.. I shut it off completely (hold power button 3+seconds) let it sit for a week and still at 100%. I read somewhere on the internet that it is not good to store at 100% , so I discharged it to 75%. ... Hope this helps. I recommend it for the price and # of cycles it will allow. (I paid $1350 on Amazon + Tax).

Runs a standard house refrigerator for 24 hours, a UPS feature, 5 year warranty, and lower cost. I like it. When the electricity from TVA stops, would like to change it from my multi-fuel generator for about 4 hours and run the rest of the day with the FFPower. Thanks for the review! Are there any other 2k watt solar generators out there with the UPS feature? Thanks

Great review, as usual. Thanks so much for providing useful information. I have been a part-time van dweller for the last 4 years and depend on a mid-size power station to run my life. when possible I'm all-electric (induction hotplate, mini-electric pressure cooker, dorm microwave) and I'm much more interested in a good inverter than a lot of bling features. This sounds like a great value (especially with your discount). Sadly, I'm disappointed with the mediocre capacity tests. I think the fast AC charging is great, and I can only fit 400 watts of solar on my roof, bo I'm not bothered by the 500-watt solar limit.

Thanks for your excellent review. I bought a P2001 with a different brand name two weeks ago. I really needed the UPS feature to keep our refrigerator running when the power goes off. I tested it and after 3 hours the battery was 80%. This is a normal sized fridge-freezer. Looks like the battery will keep up for 10+ hours. The only complaint I have is the 50 pound weight. I like the storage in the top.

Never heard about this brand before, but I must admit this model is really interesting for the price, and for the UPS function. I'm looking to buy a pellet stove, but I know these thing needs a bit of electricity to run. I found it can use from 30W per hour to 1Kw a day. So, with this solar generator and it UPS function, I'll be able to keep my house warm in case of power outage. So it mean it will be enough for most of the power outage we have during winter where I live. And the weight will allow it to use it for camping and drone day trip. If I remind, the Bluetti AC200Max doesn't have an UPS ?

You mention the 12 volt output is regulated at 13.1v but then show it dropping to 11.7 volts. A regulated output means it should stay at the same voltage. This unit therefore does not have a regulated 12 volt output. Some appliances (like a diesel heater) will shut down if the voltage drops below 12v. Just something to bare in mind if using this for a camper van.

The best use case I think is for weekend warriors, but when not being used in that function, it functions perfectly as a UPS. Even though this thing is far from perfect, that price + UPS + capacity is perfect not for peppers, but for normal people. This is specced perfectly for anyone that wants backup power for a residential fridge, a residential chest freezer, or for a home office. I hope you continue working with this company. I am curious to see what they will offer next. If this is their first official product after the 2020 "issues", I am willing to bet they'll only move up from here.

I wonder what would happen if one tried to charge the FFpower (1100 Watts max) with the ALPS propane generator (rated for 1000 Watts). Would the generator go into overload and shut down or would it just charge this unit at 1000 Watts instead of 1100 Watts? It would be sweet if I could run the generator for just a couple hours to fully recharge the FFpower.

Can you tell me if you leave the solar charging cable in with the unit off and the sun comes up in the morning slowly, at very low voltage, does it start to make a clicking sound and the power button flash until you push it to turn it on before it starts to charge? And in the late afternoon when there isn't enough voltage going in, it beeps and clicks until you unplug the Anderson charging cable. I'm using the Oukitel P2001 version of this and that's what it's doing. It is not convenient that I have to be there turning on and unplugging the cable every time. Thank you.

Just wondering if it is practically possible to charge the FFpower 2000w without an auxiliary (house) battery but rather using only a vehicle's starter battery and smart isolator.

There appears to be a few companies rebranding and selling this product, apheriy, oukitel to name just 2. I wonder who actually makes it and how good the 5 year warranty actually is?

Anyone know why this model only wants to pull around 10 amps on the solar input? I thought it would max at 15amps (as specified), but it doesn't seem to want to go there.

Something i wish you would test is the low power auto shutdown. Im fairly new to these things and perhaps im missing something. But on most of these, they auto shutdown if not using 1w on dc or 3-5 on ac. While i get the reasoning, it does no good if you are running your whole camper off these. Go to turn on a light at night...nope..you have to go turn the box on first. Or..a cpap on ac. Is there a workaround? Besides just leaving something on

Why would you ever use AC to power a cpap machine what brand do you have that runs on 120 I've had two different brands and both use a power brick to change from 120 volts AC to 12 volts DC so when I go solar I'm buying a 12 volt plug

I'm looking for a quality LiFePO4 AC power station that is designed to be permanently used as UPS for PC equipment. It must have 230v true sine-wave output. I was interested in the EcoFlow Delta / Delta II but they do not really back their UPS functionality for PC/server use. Switching time is too slow for that. I'm currently using an APC Smart-UPS 1500 with lead-acid batteries. It works fine as UPS but battery capacity is very limited. A good AC (solar) power station with LiFePO4 batteries can run a beefy PC for many hours.

Do what I do. Run a Sogen before the real UPS. When the power goes out the Sogen will keep running the ups until the battery dies. Switching speed won't matter.

is it safe to drain this to 0% and did you test the power drain when you activate the AC/plug (by pressing the mains button) without anything plugged in. Mine has a power draw and seems to be around 20w which is ridiculous.

Bad news for me. Purchased for sump pump UPS. Unfortunately UPS only allows 1100 watts. Not expected since is 2000 watts on battery. When plugged in to AC you can only use 1100 watts. Please add high wattage UPS test. And test wattage when on AC power in your reviews?

Anyone know if this has low temperature charging cutoff? I never hear that mentioned on the solar generator reviews. Also FFPower website states max operating temperature is 104F. So does power output stop at that temp? Also, manual states storage temp max of 113F. So is it unsafe to store in a vehicle in summer when internal vehicle temps would well exceed that?

I love my lifipo4 generator. It has a TON of lithium in it. I just put it out in the sun and it generates 2k watts all day long. When I feel my bipolar disorder coming on I just go out and take a bite out of it and I'm golden.
