I completely agree. I have yet to watch s woman streaming this game that was not like, intrinsically repulsed by Don Corneo. As a side note, I don't think I've seen one not react in a positive way to Rude's voice actor as well hahaha.

5555Thecrow chill out everyone hasn’t been able to play the OG. A lot of people are experiencing this story for the first time and Square made the game to be enjoyable for first time players without knowledge of the OG. It’s really easy to tell that they targeted both OG and new players as well. Every single person who plays the Remake as new players are loving it and at the end they’re anticipating the second part. They’re fans like we all are.

Yeah, if I'd known in advance how many playthroughs of chapter 8 I'd need to get all 3 of Aerith's dresses and all of the manuscripts on Hard, not to mention all the manuscripts in Chapter 9, I'd have approached my 1st playthough differently. I've seen that roof hopping scene so many times I can practically quote the whole conversation.

Its awesome to see new fans coming in, but the thing some new fans might not be aware of is that this "remake" is only like the 1st few hours of the original game. There is an even grander adventure outside of midgar with many more amazing characters to come! VII's story is amazing and the game as a whole is widley considered one of the greatest, if not the greatest of all time for a damn good reason.

I'll go ahead and tell you right now... the version of Wall Market in this game ABSOLUTELY BLOWS AWAY the original, and the original could be considered nowadays as... rather offensive? The necessary changes they made for this game are VERY welcome, needless to say.

Harlequin novels don't contain men who behave like Corneo, unless he's an antagonist to be juxtaposed against the romantic interest. Also, it doesn't matter how attractive someone is when they invite themselves to pretty much sniff your crotch like a dog, study you like a meat selection, and dismiss your competition as "leftovers." That's maximum objectification and entitlement; very few people-forget just women-will appreciate that outside a relationship first built on trust and respect.

you are aware its a video game yeah? you can root for a villain trying to destroy the planet and not have that badly reflect on your personal morals/ethics, its make believe. Entertainment.

​​@@theredpriestprobably bc in real life, these women have encountered real life don corneos, aka perverts, rapists, etc. in person, so it's a lot more personal. but we have never encountered a real life sephiroth, aka someone who was a former supersoldier who now has godlike powers and wants to destroy/rule the planet. we are more likely to encounter a don corneo than a sephiroth irl. it also helps that, for those who have played crisis core, we see sephiroth before he became the monster we know him as today, and witnessed his tragic downfall. so ofc, more ppl are likely to sympathize/feel sorry for sephiroth than don corneo. i'm a sephiroth fangirl, but a lot of us who like him do not necessarily excuse or condone his actions. some might, but not all of us. i sure as hell don't. when i played the OG i was rooting for cloud and the party to kick his ass.

Naw, it's the vibe of the characters over the aesthetic. These guys are rapeycreepy. Many of the reactors were disgusted by the 'leftovers' guys that were much more attractive than the Don. Women just have a soft spot for murderous psychos. It's why the serial killer podcast industry is thriving 😂
