Okay so I need to explain why I say "Aeris" incorrectly in the video (I also misspelled it, that was just me not paying attention). When I was younger I was into Greek Mythology, so when I saw the name Aeris I thought it was pronounced the same way as the Greek God Ares, and now I'm kind of stuck in the habit of saying it that way. But I can understand how annoying that can be so I promise I'll say it correctly for now on.
I also know that "regen" is short for "regeneration" and should probably be pronounced as such. In fact I even mention it in this video: • An In-Depth Look At Re... .

Odd: If you defeat Emerald weapon at 00:03, 00:02 or 00:01 seconds left, you'll still have a game over because the victory screen doesn't have the time to load and so the countdown reaches 00:00 .

I think barret in ff7R is realistic. He practically stands on a soup box shouting his views and gain a small cult of followers he named avalanche. You aren't going to get that kind of support passing out fliers asking for help towards your cause.

Lucky 7's ruined my final fight with Safer Sepiroth lol It was my first time fighting him, got the 7's thinking it was some scripted event. Beat the game feeling very disappointed thinking I was robbed of a proper boss fight haha

I also got robbed my first time when I was grinding characters to 99 but I couldn’t wait anymore. They were lvl 97 but my characters stat already capped due to the sources, so Cloud sorta solo-ed Safer Sephiroth with 2 4xcuts and he died…

I'm gonna be honest, I beat the dude first try. No lucky 7s, I was level 82 and Cloud was my healer/magic user so he only had like 4500 health because of all the Materia I shoved on him. Materia Keeper was the only boss I had to try more than once on barring the Emerald and Ruby Weapons lmao It actually felt pretty good though. It was easy but the feeling of power... Making Seph look utterly pathetic against me felt good.

I watched a friend that did that Regen trick, and it blew my mind. I have no idea how he figured this out on his own without internet. Maybe his cat walked on it just as he casted regen and opened it? This was of course when playstation and nintendo 64 were the most current systems. Having the internet really was not commonplace then.

I like this video and genuinely appreciate the effort, but several parts had me like... "In episode 2F09 when Itchy plays Scratchy’s skeleton like a xylophone, he strikes the same rib twice in succession, yet he produces two clearly different tones. I mean, what are we to believe, that this is some sort of a magic xylophone or something? Boy, I really hope somebody got fired for that blunder."

I know I'm 6 years late, but back when my brother and I were pre-teens, he played through the game as normal; when he got to the part where you can't play as Cloud (he's in a coma I think), he was able to manually select what team member he wanted to control (he picked Vincent) Years later, we replayed the game together but when we got to that part, the game forced him to use Cid (we also looked up a guide, and apparently Cid was the *only* playable character there) Does anyone have any information? We both vividly remember him playing as Vincent with dialogue and interactions based around Vincent

It's just a false memory. I've got dozens of them based around games I played as a kid. I distinctly remember there being a male cyborg ninja demon hunter in the first Soul Edge, I even remember playing as him, but now I know it's just memories of Taki mixed with memories of Yoshimitsu from Tekken which I played at the same time. You've just got memories of playing as Vincent mixed up with Cid, probably influenced by how famous Vincent was in the Compilation. Even if you could select a team leader, Vincent and Yuffie wouldn't be choices as they're optional characters. I also remember a skateboarding section in FF7, which is obviously just memories of the snowboarding game mixed with skateboards being in all video games in the 90s.

yes, depending on the density of the liquid, they only sink so far down; it's why you need tarps, chains and concrete blocks to keep them on the bottom.

Barret shoots the fireworks... Yeah FF7 was very loaded with comedic relief. The Remake is a lot more epic and serious. Take the Shinra building for instance. Very laidback in the original, even has bits of humor thrown in. I feel this is one area where the original is going to consistently do better then the Remakes.

4:50 One playthrough, I had no plan for it, but it happened. The final confrontation with Sepheroth, Cloud's natural HP ended up being 7777. He still did the Omnislash, but the damage output was the 7777 per hit.

I am so excited. Growing up I owned FF7 after a friend called me crying his eyes out when Aires was killed. He was my best friend through middle and high school, that was literally the only time I heard him cry. I lent it out and they lost or broke a disc so I was unable to play it all the way through again. I looked high and low for a copy and none for a reasonable price at the time. So yeah, I know I'm way behind in gaming but I nearly hollered when I realized there was a graphically upgraded version on a newer console. Well that and FF12 which I logged over 150+ hours, had amazing stats but never actually beat the game.

The W-item glitch exists because as soon as you select a target for an item, the game considers it as “used”. But with W-item, when you select a target for the first item the counter doesn’t go down but still gets a “used” status. If you choose a second item, the second you hit the button to go back, the game cancels the action you last completed and thus removes the “used” status on the item you had picked a target for, the game being programmed to add an item to your counter at the same time as it lifts the used status.To put it short it happens because the game gives an item the “used” status as soon as you select a target for it, the counter only going down when it is used in battle.

The only strange thing I ever got during the 4 times I played FF7 was that one of my characters suddenly launched a kind of limit attack without no reason at all and there was a weird message like..."All the lucky ones are lucky" back at the time I think those glitches would help to create the special aura of the game, like... everything can happen and that FF7 world is truly alive

You probably got "All Lucky 7's", which is when your HP is exactly 7777. That character goes into berserk mode and deals an irresistible 7777 damage with each hit.

Yuffie is best date scene. Even if it breaks the story. I'll fight you. Anyway, as for Aerith's continuity being all over the place I honestly still think the writers wanted to bring her back. They changed their minds several times and decided she had to die. Sakaguchi loved killing off characters even before this. Aerith just...meant more to people. I need to go cry again.

I like to believe the lake is a spring where there are caves and cracks that go 70ft or deeper and the animators just didn’t the edit rocks due to budget restrictions and we will see that in the remake if they commit do her fate in the forgotten city

Oh, and REGEN is pronounced correctly as the first 2 syllables of the word it comes from; that is REGENERATION....so it's Ree...Gen.

Why does everyone always get mad about people pronouncing Aeris the way it's spelled? Yeah we all know it's Aerith now because of newer games and the internet, but think back to when this game was new. The ps1 release of the game we got here it's clearly spelled Aeris, and since there were no voice acted parts or anyway to hear an official pronunciation of the name for the longest time, almost everyone I've ever met that played the game when it was new just pronounced it the way it was spelled, because why would you pronounce it any other way if you didn't know any better? Can you really blame them?

Hahaha, amazing stuff. Why do you think it is called "Regen" like the presidents name? It comes from "re-generate". Germans might mistake it for "Regen" (rain) which is pronounced like you say it.

I was exactly at this point 11:10 recently in the android version. And i was like wtf - i have NEVER before encountered a bug in ff7 and realized there is a unknown part of the game for me after all these years :D

In Golden Eye it was the developer that released the input codes for invisbility and all guns and more, that help unlock 007 mode way easier, without the need of super luck and skill. YOu just need ot input those codes within a few seconds, but being invinceble makes most levels super easy.. and fast.... The reason I say this is because many other sites and games places never really talk about goldeneye. Now Aeris, being revived can be down with a gameshark, and she will always state, an omnimous phrase of "i'm tired of this" which is like being brough back to life... I am not stating there is a inputable code, but you can scan the entire trigger tree of final fantasy, to playable character links, since its all yes or no functions and or input designs... This would then conclude it wouldn't happen. You could speed up the process with the help of a program to look for certain identifiers and help, that can lead towards storage of data and what is accessed upon a trigger. You can even find all the text and writing in the game also, translated or not, and that would put hte AErith thing ot rest... or undisocvered easter eggs.

To make the 7777 in an easy way what i do is that i attack my self wit a low damage weapon, but go to the monsters behind the Junno were you find the guy on a cave, there are some little grass monsters that take only 11 of damage just let them attack you and make shure that your health is above 7,600 and let it hit you till the 2 last digits ends in 77 and kill them or flee, then heal them with potions till you reach 7777 and you welcome. Its really easy for example, if you health is 7477 you will just need 3 potions of 100 to reach 7777 or if you have 7077 you can use a 1 Hi potion that heal 500 and 2 of 100 regular potions and will make you reach to 7777, like i said its easy you just got to be below 7,600 and be attacked till the last 2 numbers end on 77 if you are lucky enough you will make it fast if you dont then it will take just a few more minutes. But in lucky 7777 i make my own luck ;-)

I still have a save file where I had a BIG glitch happen in the original PC release (came in the pyramid-style box). When I beat Hojo, and it asked me to put in disc 3, I accidently closed the CD rom drive empty. Game bugged out, then I put in Disc 3 while it was tweaking in an attempt to undo what I had done. I was transported to Midgar when Cloud was to climb the cable into the upper section of the city. The strange thing is, Aeris is in the party. I'm basically stuck in Sector 7 and I have to play using Disc 3 or else the game will ask me to insert it. The other glitch I experienced was with Tifa's ultimate weapon regularly doing less than 100 damage. (Many times 1, others something random like 38. Even critical hits)
