Definitely. This is a more unknown track since not many gamers today have played FFXI much, or even know he helped with XII. Even I didnt until just a few years ago But I must say, of all Uematsu tracks, I'd say this one translates possibly the best of all to VII's font. It perfectly fits the style.
@@Neo-Midgar I only recently gave Final Fantasy XI a shake myself, since it's crossing over with FF XIV for the new alliance raid series, and I figured that was the last straw for me to go and give it a look. It's definitely different, but it is very much a game I enjoy, Where Final Fantasy XIV is a theme park and a love letter to the whole franchise, FF 11 feels more like a puzzle box. When you boot it up, it shows you no mercy, but it never felt like it didn't want me to play it. Where FF XIV invites you to dive in and enjoy the roller coaster it has prepared for you, FF XI invites you - no, CHALLENGES you to solve it. It dares you to step into the world, unguided and unguarded, and find your own path. I still prefer FF XIV, and I've only made it up to the opening hours of Treasures of Aht Urgan in 11, but I do not regret getting the experience under my belt, and I am kicking myself for not playing it sooner. It's a weird, wonky, esoteric, archaic bit of FF history, but worthy of aknowledgement and respect all the same.
