I've remade this guide in a full level 1-100 version for Dawntrail! Find it in the link below! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IroRRUYzb30.html Enjoy!
New players from Xbox here , just wanted to say thank you very very much , very helpful guide as I was struggling a lot to understand the combo and how everything work together 😅 that has help me massively so thank you 🙏🏻
I'm level 81 and had NO idea about these kinds of rotations. I just select the ones that highlight in order but never knew these kinds of rotations existed, so thank you!
Thanks, your content is extremely helpful for us sprouts and is the best I've seen on yt . (I looked at the majority of them, I assure you) Keep up the good work!
Thank you! I have been wondering about the ideal order of life surge, lance charge, and the two versions of the combo - this answers my questions! Also, you have a very calm and soothing voice :)
Thank the lords channels like this exist! This was so useful to me, it made my dps go a lot higher due to now understanding more about how the class performs! Tyvm
Thank you so much! I'm glad my guide could help you understand the job much better! And I hope you continue to enjoy dragoon as more actions are introduced! 😄
With Patch 6.4, a particularly important change happened to Dragoon at level 1-50: * Jump is no longer actually moves the character, and is as far as the game is concerned, just a projectile attack. This means that you no longer have to worry about touching telegraphs or fire underneath your target when the action is used. Do take note though, that you still cannot move while performing jump, though.
I would like to add that, prior to 6.4, Jump also caused you to get hit by an AoE zone laying on the way TO your target. I every so often died because I “jumped” through a death zone because of this. Good thing it is perceived as an actual jump, now, which is much more intuitive, too ;)
@@Cindercrown A very good point! In fact, I think now you could even say it is more considered a projectile rather than a jump - which in a way is almost cooler
I am currently leveling all jobs to 50 before continuing on to HW. These guides have been amazing. When I am about to start the next job, I watch your guide. The biggest help was Ninja. Worth it though.
I'm glad my guides have helped you! I hope you enjoy that journey! 😊 Once you push on to 60, my high level guides have points every 10 levels with summaries so you can benefit from those if needed without going all the way to 90! 😊
You unlock job actions by doing your job questline from level 30 to 60, and then also the level 70 action, so if any of those are missing, that might be the reason. Somewhere on your screen you should see like a box showing your current main quest, right under it, it should show another quest name if you have a job quest waiting for you for your current job! 😊 I hope this helps!
This is unlocked as part of your class questline, which needs to be done to unlock the job quests! It should be displayed just the same. 😁 I assume you are a lancer still in this case? 😊 Specifically the level 15 action piercing talon and the level 30 action Lance charge are lancer actions learned from class quests!
Thank you! I played ESO for 5 years but havent played in awhile and the cooldowns are so different and you manually weave light attacks vs auto so i was having trouble finding good rotation besides the 3 combo and how to go about it
Jump, Spineshatter Dive and Dragonfire Dive each have a slightly longer animation lock than normal, meaning that it can be very awkward to doubleweave two jumps/dives in a single window. However, as long as you don't use jump and Spineshatter dive in the same doubleweave, it shouldn't really be an issue. On higher latency, these actions may be impossible to doubleweave. The general consensus is that Jump, Spineshatter Dive and Dragonfire Dive take around 0.2-0.3 seconds longer to finish than "normal" abilities, due to the extended animation lock. I hope this helps! ^^
would it be better to hold back jumps until next lance charge or should i fire as soon as it's available? i know the shorter one i can at least fire again before next lance charge is up but sometimes i mess some things up due to boss mechanics which makes me not end up firing some of my jumps during lance charge period which also ruins the timing as a result T_T
Optimally, in most cases, using your cooldowns when you have them takes priority over using them "at the right time" once a fight is underway. However for you it might be better to wait for the cooldowns to align things so you get better practice where things DON'T go wrong 😊 the damage difference isn't big enough to be critical in most content! I hope this helps! 😊
@@CaetsuChaijiCh Thank you for replying! I will keep this in mind 🙂 Had felt stressed over not knowing what to do when I end up with cooldowns that should've been used during my buffs but glad it wasn't bad of me to just use them anyway haha
Many of your actions are unlocked by doing your job quests. The quest that unlocked dragoon for you continues on to teach you more actions, and it will continue to do so all the way to level 70 😊
The only melee type class I’ve used is tanks and I enjoying meleeing but I’m wanting to go dps so I feel like I have tiny less responsibility but can still kick butt so it’s gonna be dragoon or reaper
Dragoon is a good one to start with, since starting with a job like Reaper with a huge toolkit right off the bat might be a bit overwhelming. But at max level, I personally find Reaper a lot easier, if that matters to you! Regardless, I hope you have fun with Dragoon if you choose to go with that one!
