BRD has finally been released! I know many have been asking for a BRD modpack since I started the Nier series, precisely because there are few mods for the class. However, similar to RPR, I always wanted to wait for my skills to develop further, so the time has finally come. There are some new features in this modpack, thanks to one of the users from my Nier series, Yinah, who managed to extract a model of Grimoire Weiss! Additionally, I was able to work with the "musical" element in a cool way. Despite being a Nier-themed mod, it's still a Bard at the end of the day. I want to thank everyone for the incredible support so far, and I hope you enjoy it!

It is insane how much you are improving with each mod release. I especially like the effects you added for when the ballads play. There's actually someone singing! Amazing work!

Thank you so much! Your words really made my day! I really wanted to keep the musical aspect of the job (Since it's a BRD) so I managed to extract the voice channel of the Devola & Popola song, then after some editing it was ready to be used! Glad you liked it and thank you for your comment!

I really like the idea of adding music! Just like I added some singing elements to my alter paladin!I was also very surprised by the details of adding shields to LB3 to make skills logical!

Thank you for your comment and support! If the icons / hud aren't working, and you are using Penumbra, they must be set to your "Interface Collection" otherwise they won't work

Absolutely loving your VFX!! Bard is the only job I have currently (relatively new player :p) and I happened on this while I was looking for more music-oriented VFX for Bard after being kind of underwhelmed by the appearance of the default skill set at Lv. 90. I fully plan on leveling the other jobs, but now I can't play BRD without this!! You really aced it with the impact of the skills, it feels like I'm ACTUALLY damaging something instead of clicking buttons. It's so, so satisfying. And the skills look top-notch as well and the animation differences from lower level skills to their upgraded forms feels very significant in comparison! It's a wonderful experience all around. I can't wait to get to the point I can purchase your other VFX sets. I do have a question though: I was looking through your other VFX and saw that SCH had their Seraph models replaced and it made me wonder. Say that I wanted to keep the Seraph model but the rest of the VFX for that skill, would I be able to modify that easily? I suppose this would go for any of the skills that have a summon of some kind if I wanted to keep the default summoning model. I'm not sure if it would require a program of some kind to manipulate or if it's as simple as removing a file, but I was curious.

Hey! Thank you so much for your comment and support! I don't have any words to express how much your comment has positively affected my day, lol. The reasons you listed for why you started looking for a BRD VFX mod are the same as the original design idea for this mod. I didn't want to just remake the VFX in a Nier-inspired way but also really work on the music aspect of the job. For a job called BRD, I think SE was too shy with their implementation of music in its kit, so I really tried my best to create something cool visually and also work with the music. Regarding your question, I have added options to the mods that replace an entity with another to disable them. However, selecting those would disable both VFX and the model, for people who have another type of creature summon replacement mod. Since you mentioned a possible way to disable just the model and keep the VFX, I could try to simply delete the modded model files and keep the modded VFX files. I don't think it would affect the VFX in any way, to be honest. So, whenever you decide to get, let's say, my SCH mod, feel free to contact me through my Discord (you can find it inside the mod .rar file), and I can work on the alternative version for you (free of charge, of course). Thanks again and I apologize for the big wall of text, I had a lot I wanted to say lol!

crazy how the animations themselves don't matter, it's the effects that can change how an entire job feels. I don't like ff14 bard at all and always disliked not having a more traditional-ish archer type job instead, but i'd play bard if this was how it looked, 100%

*UPDATE* I have designed a new alternative version for the Song Gauge imgur.com/a/pkrTSao this time with a straight gauge. I thought it was impossible before but after some testing I managed to do it, fits the Nier Automata design better imo.

I absolutely agree, there are other jobs that also could use more attention from the modding community too, like DNC for example, there aren't that many mods for it, but thankfully the more the modding community grows the more likely we are to discover new cool mods for every job.

Currently Penumbra is in an early testing stage, but TexTools is already updated for Dawntrail and every VFX mod is working perfectly on it. I have already started working on creating new skills for every modpack too. Thank you for your comment!
