I've been thinking for a while, and the live letter at Fanfest seems to have confirmed, that the big point of the Void storyline is to give us some means of linking shards to set up later expansions and (dear god I hope) bring Ryne back into the normal player roster. And Gaia. Please Yoshi-P I NEED my gay daughters back give them to meeeeeeee.
I honestly wish there was a rebuildable instance of Garlemald like there was for Doma and Ishgard. But then again, given their attitude towards the other, that might be considered pushing it by some...
I would love that too, tbh! It's a new start for them in many ways and I think the way they've confronted the awful aspects of their society in a lot of side quest content has def helped lay the groundwork for a new chapter with them.
Always love getting more Rook content! After the new expansion reveal at FanFest today though, I am wondering how in the hell they're wrapping things up by 6.55? I am just so... torn. I want more details and I want them now! lol The blu update in 6.45 was really a let down for me (ONE new stage in the Carnivale? Really? That's what we get? Absolutely zero content for two years and we get one new stage and three open world spells?), and now we have to wait until next summer for the expansion. I mean, if we have to wait THAT long and we're just one patch away from 6.5, I hope they give us a LOT of content. Though it will likely be another 2-3 years before they remember blu exists again, I'm hoping we get something to do to bridge the year long wait.
The reason I think Garlemald doesn't feel like a diversion to me is that it seems to be a crucial part of Zero's story arc. More than the story of the void or the Fiends, the patches have been her story.
Yea lol I cringed hard at the Zenos part as well, no handshake or hug for you. Maybe if someone hugged you instead of dropping you on your head when you were a baby you wouldn't have turned out so horribly
