This is amazing I cant even believe how good this fight is. I'm so hyped for the final days extreme. / sky__namikaze / skythe10th / discord #Endwalker #FinalFantasyXIV
I mean I went through Shadowbringers and the patches and thought that was the best game experience. Then the team said "hold my beer" and produced Endwalker.
Personally I loved ShB more, but if i were to rate these two on a scale of 1-10, EW is 9.9, and ShB is 10. It so damm close to how great both were, but funny enough Elpis made me love ShB more, cause of Emet-Selch.
Zenos: - I ate the Mothercrystal and came here. WOL: - But aether doesn't nothing here. Zenos: - Dude I'm edging since Stormblood, this ain't no aether.
Zenos is literally the most stubborn man in the universe. This dude turned himself into a dragon, flew across the entire universe, and headbutted through a dimensional wall just because he wants to 1v1 you.
to contextualize: This man comes back from the dead, wrings his body back from an ancient powerful being, jumpstarts the end of the world and is so bored he takes a ship to the enemy base, makes a deal, eats up half of a thousand year old crystal at the heart of the world to turn himself into a desperate madmans summoned alien avatar of destruction to fly across the expanse of the universe to its end into contextual space that doesnt really exist just to ask you if you can kill him as he needs burn down the candle of his life as this is the only pleasure he ever knew and can share in his life.
At the edge of the universe. Fighting the literal manifestation of hopelessness and despair on the back of your arch rival who turned into a dragon. Yup seems par for the course. That's as Final Fantasy a final battle can get.
Here is an interesting fact: Dynamis is stated to be the greater of the two forms of energy, making up 68.3% of the total in the universe (aether making up the rest). Dynamis is also stated to only weakly interact with the physical world, except when there are huge amounts. This is a reference to dark energy in real life (which is also stated to make up 68.3% of all energy in the universe). This is a neat little Genius Bonus thing they put in the game. The phenomenon they talk about using dynamis to accelerate is (in real life) the heat death of the universe, which in real life is caused by dark energy.
The best part is that the music at the last bit has a part of 'The makers ruin' in it. That's the theme for the WoL throughout the game. It flipped from the boss theme music to OUR theme music playing in the fight...
when she does the double big attack and the scions prayers reach and buff us, the fight is pretty much done. i mean the entire rest of the fight is just dodging very basic aoes and dealing damage. it's a victory lap designed to pump you up and make you feel like a universe-saving badass. because at this point, you are exactly that
She gets a stacking damage increase buff every time she does the wing swipe attack. Technically speaking if DPS is just too slow you could, feasibly, fail at that point because she just does too much damage.
That happens in several fights. Once the enemy expends their big attack they dont have anything left. Like Thordan in heavensward, after his big attack he just starts swinging his sword wildly. Its great.
That part where Zenos breaks in got me 3 different times. When he first breaks in, I didn't get a good look and I thought it was Midgardsormr showing up to help out in our time of greatest need. Then I seen it was Shinryu, and I didnt piece together that it was Zenos. What a fantastic expansion
When you started ranting about Zenos being a stalker, I busted out laughing. He is SUCH a creepy stalker ex-boyfriend who just will NOT leave you alone!
I know this is an old video but you're a real one for that reaction at 23:25. The tingles from that moment were phenomenal. I wish I could forget the trial just to experience that again
"Wait.. she's reverse timing that??? Wait.. we dont have the LB.... Wait... im sorry about everything i just said!" :D :D :D :D Did you catch how she mentions "Dynamis?" when the Tank uses the LB?.... clever little way the Dev's used to "Lore-explain how the Limit-break exists... its us making use of Dynamis, without ever knowing what it was we were useing. :) *quick edit* Also... much like the boat-ride to Sharlyian.... the "Light the Way!" part is a homage to 1.0..... the Scions are in the same positions they were during 1.0's Meteor fall when Elf-dad was trying to re-bind Bahamut.
I remember doing this the first time and everyone in chat was going crazy. Was such an fucking awesome fight to end the story arc that started in ARR. First time thoughts and prayers actually did anything lmao.
Lol bro as one black dude with a beard who did this fight while wearing a durag to another i wholesomely appreciate your reaction LOL i felt that on a spiritual level when you looked up when you saw the scions praying... i know that feeling LOL
I have an unnatural tendency to die right before bosses do too. It's always hilarious to then go back and have cut scenes treat you like you killed the boss single-handedly when you didn't even survive.
How many identical sisters did Meteion have? We are never given a number. Other than in Elpis where someone says they saw a lot of them taking off into the sky, one after the other. It looks like there were, at minimum, dozens. If not close to 100. One question I have...how many of them were required to manipulate enough dynamis to cause the final days?
Like wtf Hermes was crazy to jsut bypass every rule and not just make her, but like, 1000 of those and sent em out, giving them a stupid task as well and not teaching them ANYTHING of value first... that men destroyed like half the universe...
@@BL33NB There was nothing wrong with his ORIGINAL intentions. He sent them out to get information about what gives life meaning to other lifeforms on other worlds. Nothing wrong with that. But they weren't mature enough to be able to handle seeing nothing but death. Hermes didn't actually become evil until he decided he agreed with them, that life deserved to be destroyed, sent Meteion to join them to finish destroying the universe, and mind wiped himself and everyone else. He is responsible, but his original intentions are sympathetic, it was just curiosity.
@@BL33NB Yes, at first he was just naive. But the decision he made when he decided to send Meteion to her sisters and have them destroy the universe was outright evil.
