I played Viper for abit but didnt enjoy it all to much as i wanted, then went over and tried Nin after the changes, alot more fun to play and use, so might level that as main ^^
Like any forum or comment section I heard my FC going on and on about the new jobs, changes in other jobs, pretty much putting down ninja and black mage. I just chime in saying I've been a Ninja main since HW, won't be changing for anything, nin till I die. lol
100% you are the reason I picked up ninja. I have watched you fall in love with the job and it made me give it a try and now I come to you after breaks from the game to learn how to do things again because the approach you use is great for me and my old man brain.
Thank you soo much for this informative video, I have not played this game for years and your video and explanation made it very easy for me to understand things and get going with my rotation and have the knowledge to at least perform good enough for the people who would be teamed up with me, so again thank you for putting so much effort into this
Just thought I'd mention it because it wasn't mentioned in the Raiju thing. If you make yourself an in game macro /ac "Fleeting Raiju" /ac "Forked Raiju" It will use the dash when you're out of melee range, and the one that doesn't lock you if you're in melee range. Just a nice little quality of life where it is on one button.
I logged back in after quitting the game for like a year and was so confused.. I learned so many little things that I had never even considered existed.. Very informative and efficient. Thank you for such a detailed guide!
Insane vid as always. Just wanted to share a tricks i discovered in pvp (maybe all Nin already know this). You can replace your Doton by using Shukuchi during the doton's animation (before the first tic of damage i guess). Its kinda usefull in dungeon when the tank is gonna pull mobs out of your Doton or in a Front pvp to follow a DRK engage. =)
I have main'd NIN for a a while. This guide is 100. Great job going over the rotation. I hope more NIN find this vid to watch this the rotation! All NINs need to remember that the rotation is not hard it is just needs to be consistent.
Hey man i didnt know u were doing ff content just like you did for gw2. i always appreciated your guides, especially the warrior dps ones lol. thanks for the work.
It hurts my soul every time I hear someone pronounce "Bhavacakra" as "Bavakakra"... 😂 (Correct pronunciation, for the record, is "Bavachakra"... That's "cha" as in "chapstick" rather than "charming" btw...)
Appreciate the video. Dnc is my main but I always love nin, I am just not good enough to raid as one. I took a long break and trying to get my nin back to a workable job for me. Any tips on setting up you skills? I use a format that matches my gaiming mouse and try to keep skills close that are used in sucession.
quick thing on the gaze movement for legacy: instead of W + S, try replacing W with both mouse buttons + S. both mouse buttons force you to move forward just like W, but it still works unlike the W method for whatever reason. this is how i've always done it, and it's still working just fine. also keeps my other fingers free to strafe when needed.
Very good you mentioned this - I was wondering why it wouldn't work the way I thought it would like in Standard - so it simply requires your left/right mouse button which is ODD why it wouldn't work with just W.
Standard is bad because it oftentimes forces you're character to face boss so using skills while moving during tight space mechanics like the p10s bridge, standard can cause you to run off. Legacy will always keep you in full control, autoface doesn't have this interaction.
I don't understant what skills you're using on rotation phase just by hearing it. And I can't really grasp which ones you're using just from watching your hotbars either. Not even by playing it at 50% speed. Am I dumb or is anyone else feeling the same way? It is a good in-depth guide, but not really beginner friendly. Have a good grasp of the ninja job before watching this, I suppose. Thank you for the video
@@Alninio thanks that Looks amazing. Love your Guides. Helped me With My Claas Choice alot when i Started. Just Bad i have to Queue Long Ass time before i find any Dungeon as DPS
I feel like 18 seconds is a very sad number, and an extra tick or two of 80 potency, maybe an extra Hollow Nozuchi isn't gonna hurt anybody. Just round it up to 20 secs, it's just not satisfying to me.
Curious if you plan to do a video about possible recommendations for changes and adjustments you would like to see. Personally, I really with either dokumori or kunai's bane gave a stack of kazematoi so we could land an enhanced aeolian in the opener instead of having to use armor crush which feels slightly awkward as it's the only time where we use armor crush in an even minute. It's definitely taken some learning for me to get used to that, it fights all my muscle memory for the past 2 years lol. Also, given that nin seems to be lacking slightly in damage from the other melee, curious about your thoughts for buffing the job. Obviously some extra potency on some abilities would help, but I find the kaze gauge to be a little too simple and brain dead at the moment. I like it, don't get me wrong, but if they want to buff nin damage a bit, there is a part of me that hopes they allow kazematoi to buff raijus as well as aeolian. It would keep armor crush in the opener, but man that would add an interesting aspect to gauge management and stack management to make sure you had at least 3-4 stacks going into burst windows. Might also be enough damage just from that 200-300 extra potency under burst to bring nin more in line with the other melee (could also be too much, might have to pull the bonus potency back on that slightly)
@@celuiquipeut6527 I don't know if it should increase armor crush or the base 1-2. If it increased armor crush, armor crush would do more then aeolian at all times. So it doing the next 5 attacks flat would be a little odd. But I really don't see an issue with it affecting raiju and I actually think could be quite fun, although it would make the opener slightly wonky as it would force the early armor crush rather than letting you delay it
i just came back and i got to get out of the habit of using huton since the speed buff is gone lol im sure ill get it also i should probbaly change my shikuchi macro to target boss instead of player 4 as i used to use it as a quick telaport to everyone to avoid macahanics
How do you feel about ninja in DT ? For the moment it seems pretty "weak " compared to other melee jobs. Do you think it will still be a good pick for savage etc ?
I'm having a ninki management issue. Zesho gains potency under meisui. But to do so you WILL overcap. Do we just ignore the meisui buff for zesho? I might have my wires crossed but I think, in line with other job changes, Zesho and Deathfrog should come off of Meisui, not Dokumori. And remove the ninki gain from Meisui as a result.
I mention this in the video but I'll also put it here for ya - You don't need to save Zesho for use under the Meisui buff, this buff adds the same potency to Zesho as it does to a regular Bhava - it is never worth overcapping ninki just to get a zesho inside meisui buff.
I find it so hard to use the Ninja Gap Closer, because it is SO LAGGY. As if I was using macros. I keep trying to use it as a quick get in or out but it never works well when I try, it's so clunky it saddens me.
@@kou7191 Huton is for AOE. Suiton is for single target. Use huton if there are multiple mobs, use suiton if there's a single target. Both achieve the same result, giving you shadow walker to use either trick attack or kunai's bane. Huton still does decent DPS on multiple mobs as you move and follow the tank to their stopping point, to which you place doton
@@kou7191 you use huton before the tank stops his pull at the end. your mudra charges are ticking back to 2/2 at this time. once tank stops, use doton, katons, goka etc. you dont lose a katon usage cuz you huton'd. you still get 2x katon. TA is a free usage. there is literally no reason not to use it unless you are close to the next dungeon boss, then use TA & Mug on the boss.
Would you guys still play Ninja if you had 150 ping? Just wondering because if feels clumky to use Mudras sometimes. But im only level 60 still finishing ARR, my skills are limited. If not? Which DPS class would you recomend?
Personally, I wouldn't. My ping can have nights where it's rough, and around 100 ping is where I really just don't enjoy playing it anymore. Too much double weaving. As for other jobs, Reaper could be a good pick. The slower GCD will really help with weaving with your high ping. Maybe dragoon too? Though I haven't heard much about it since DT launched. Summoner should be fairly OK with higher ping too.
@@Caedus-nn Thanks for the reply! I've checked my ping and I get around 189. Using NoPing I can play around 150-160ms that is the least I can reach. It honestly feels awkward to use mudras and rotation sometimes, but I only level 68 and I dont have many OGCD right now, so weaving is not much of a problem until now. Alas, ninja is the most fun DPS ive tried, followed by bard and least samurai, which I think is boring as fuck, I only like the outfits (only played these). My "Alt" class is GNB which I like because of the animations. Once I get level 70 I might give reaper a try,
The whole idea is to build muscle memory, you can build that by hitting a stationary target - then on the real thing, you put it all to the test. ofcourse it'll change from fight to fight because each fight is unique with its own unique mechanics that you need to play around aswell as downtime. Don't think "oh this is easy on a stationary target" its not about easy or hard. its about building muscle memory, you're looking at it from the wrong angle. It becomes easier to manage with practice and time. Do you think the greatest athletes don't do warmups, or throw the basket ball hundreds of times per day? yes. its easy to do all that without defenders blocking the ball, or no goalkeeper in football. Its not about EASY. take it from me. It is second nature for me to play ninja because I played it for years. you can too. be patient. nothing is too hard.
What slip said! Reminder that the grind is tedious and takes a very long time to get, but Its well worth it if you love the daggers - I definitely wanted those for a while, been using them for years :^)
??? I literally didn't explain basic changes in 1 hour? are we watching the same video? there's literal timestamps.. AND you need to understand there's a lot of new players in DT that never played endwalker? I explained absolute FUNDAMENTALS and optimization. hello?
Can't lie I stopped playing this game cause I was legit dissatisfied wit the sole reason for buying this game. I can eat the no loot in most dun runs n trails but the fact that it feels every other class got treated beautifully cept ninja and monk
