The lyrics: the most depressing song about a woman who feels her soul literally dying and losing her sense of self in the process The video: haha look at the lil goober dance to the music hahaha
Suggestion for future karaoke videos: putting the next line (in smaller text) under the current line makes it easier to sing-along without needing to remember that next word!
Man, this song hits so much harder when you take it as a metaphor for burnout and depression. References to feeling alone, left behind, no longer recognizing yourself in the mirror. The cry for help, but also facing the music to fight it off.
Yooo, the madlad actually did it-!! Thank you for your hard work 💖👏 this is super helpful to me, and needless to say it'll be on constant loop over the next few days~
OFFICIAL lyrics just posted! Tonight our city bleeds red, blue, and green As I walk in the dark unseen Yet like the grey the sky is draped in The colors in my heart have faded Gone They're gone They're gone All gone A girl looks to the stars and dares to dream On the world she'd make her mark, it seemed This phantom in my mirror starin' back I realize that girl is Gone She's gone She's gone I'm gone Climbed every mountain, made it to the top I had it all, or so I thought Traded tomorrow for a lie And found the price too high The clock is ticking counting down to naught I'm outta time but it won't stop I'll bet my life before it's lost That final line I'll cross There ain't no going back No going back No going back No What light's left here inside I'll suffocate If that's what it takes, oh And those who look to cast me aside or turn their backs and leave me to die You can try, can try, come try, But I will survive No going back No going back Won't ever (no) Never again, no Ain't no going back No going back No coming back from the edge Look in my eyes, yeah I know you understand (somebody help, my misery's taking me) I've made up my mind, now there ain't no going back (somebody help, I'm losing what's left of me) I've made up my mind, now my heart's demanding I'm ready to fight til there's one left standing Tonight, lightning'll strike, thunder will fall (and) You're gonna give it all To me To me To me To me, I gotta believe You'll set Me free Tonight my circle finally comes complete One last step from the dark, I breathe The music's swellin', crowd is chantin' And for this moment fear's an after- thought It's gone It's gone All gone I look out to the crowd and there I see A thousand little girls--all me I've turned the tables, yeah I'm fightin' back I'll bring the lightnin', now it's On It's on It's on You're gone Climbed every mountain, made it to the top I had it all, or so I thought Traded tomorrow for a lie And found the price too high The clock is ticking counting down to naught I'm outta time but it won't stop I'll bet my life before it's lost That final line I'll cross There ain't no going back No going back No going back No What light's left here inside I'll suffocate If that's what it takes, oh And those who look to cast me aside or turn their backs and leave me to die You can try, can try, come try, But I will survive No going back No going back Won't ever (no) Never again, no Ain't no going back No going back No coming back from the edge, no more
@@Daniele-PierreDuLac no ambush, she rejected that as a step too far even in her desperation. Pretty sure the "circle is complete" verse is badically in media res of the moment she's fighting you.
A few lines that might be different: 1.) “White light, left here inside, I’ll suffocate, if that’s what it takes.” “What light’s, left here inside, I’ll suffocate, if that’s what it takes.” 2.) “Made up my mind, now my heart’s demanding.” “Made up my mind, there my heart’s demanding.” 3.) “Tonight my circle finally comes complete, one fast step from the dark, I’m free.” “Tonight my circle finally comes complete, one last step from the dark, I’m free.” 4.) “It’s on, it’s on, you’re gone.” “It’s on, it’s on, they’re gone.” In general, this song is about how she’s losing herself, and you’re going to bring her salvation, one way or another. Even if she has to suffocate what light’s left inside [1], even if she has to trick herself into believing she wants to fight on [2], this last fight [3] will clear away all doubts [4] and set her free.
these are the best lyrics I can go with :D sounds right to me the only part I'd suggest she's singing something different is at the beginning "I'm not greatness - I was draped in" makes more sense to me
When I have headphones on I hear the kick drum and it feels super out of sync with the rhythm at times. Is this a me thing? Is it the recording? Ill have to pay more attention to it in game now.
In general this song has lots of weird editing moments I was listening to it so many times and playing with the rhythm of it and it feels like it was cut and edited a lot
Yea might be the case Also when she said 'now my heart demanding' The 'now' sounds like 'there', but it doesn't make sense So I listen to it many times and slowed the song and then u hear she said "now" but it seems cut
@@shybandit521 I also think it should be thunder will fall, it sounds much better, even if it doesn't make sense. Even the sentence after that ends with '-all', so it rhymes
It wouldn’t surprise me if that’s the resolution of this. I’m going to assume people here for this song actually did this raid series by now (M1-M4) but if her soul is breaking down because they use beast souls so often and she needs a fresh soul to stabilize her own it wouldn’t surprise me to find out she’s Lightning Shard Azem and we break off a fraction of ourselves for her. We’ve had quite a few rejoinings so as Source Azem we have really dense Aether. Just like Ardbert joining with us in Shadowbringer’s I can see us, WoL Azem, sharing the density with Lightning Azem.
@@Andrenden But her parents were both Tulliyolan. Not to ruin headcanons, but wouldn’t that subject them to Source rules since she was born after the dome came to Xak Tural?
I don't know. Usually Shards of Azem are associated with being Wanderers that do good for Others (like Ardbert or heavily hinted real Golbez). I don't see that trait within her, though the way Alexandrians treat Souls, who knows, it might have been scrubbed off for good. I doubt it though, as we've also seen their Version of Gerolt and Rowena already, exhibiting similar Traits as their Source Counterparts. In the end it's all speculation of course^^
@@gokkiyoutube Most of this info is from Yanna, and she says as much. But I am curious if our counterpart exists somewhere in the Unlost World or Solution Nine.
No, that wouldn't make sense. Red, Blue, and Green are the primary colors of light, which ties into the following line about her "walking in the dark."
