Right! I hadn't really heard it fully until I started leveling ninja! Now I treasure every visit to the gully, and hang around there to hear the song as much as possible. It doesn't play often! I know it is short, but this really needs its own orchestrion roll.
Absolutely wild that this is such a hidden track that only plays in like two areas of La Noscea, it’s one of the most gorgeous tracks in the series imo
I like alot of Soken's themes up until around SB. Afterwards, the use of vocals like in Raktika don't fit for me. I think zones are better off instrumentals and paired with Harmonizing chants such as this theme.
@@crystaladmin2632 I get that La Hee is... Something, but there are some incredible gems in ShB and EW too... Both Lakeland themes, both Crystarium themes, and EW's 5th zone themes are all just... So, so good, and most cratch the same painful nostalgia itch that Raincatcher Gully and Painted Foothills do for me
It's funny, I remember hearing this at Raincatcher Gully, and I literally stopped everything and just enjoyed it. Looking at a number of posts for On Westerly Winds videos, I wasn't the only person to just halt all progress and just listen. Fantastic song.
This tune unfortunately is not a part of its own orchestrion roll or game soundtrack, but rather part of the _"On Westerly Winds"_ track. Either way, I literally cannot survive in this world without such a perfect tune.
I been searching for this theme by itself. So emotional, every FF game has a piece of music that bond you to that game, and this is definitely FF14’s for me. I remember listening to the wayward Imperial soldier’s story when this theme kicks in. I want that guy to finally find his way home in the next story please.
Some zone music in game is just totally out of this world, this piece being one of them. Over in Endwalker I tend to just sit in the last zone to listen to the music (at least before I got the music scroll for it)
Im glad i played this game before dawntrail launched & grateful for how good the game is now. Im still in stormblood & about to enter shadowbringers very prepared with an almost level 90 pld & two level 80 pct & vpr. Im glad I gave this game another chance after quitting from playing 1.0 This game is so much fun now, back then everything was an ordeal in this game.
A very beautiful track. Definitely gives the feeling of wonder and adventure. Imagine a spin-off FFXIV game where you are not the WoL, just a random adventurer, exploring the world and going wherever you wish. I would love that!

It's always disappointing to find out songs I like doesn't have a Orchestration roll. Just like Gangos I wanted this because of how soothing and relaxing it is.
I was on the quest Marked of Death the lvl 30 rogue quest and I had to stop in my tracks to listen to and find this song also the song during Poor Maids mishap FATE
I used to come in the open world in arr with a friend just chilling waiting for this song to come on again it was so short we waited so long. But it was worth it
It makes me angry how good these composers are. One moment i am by a calm forest stream, the next i am reaching out to heaven and the gods are smiling down on me.
The intro has very heavy Jeremy Soule vibe to it. The plucked strings sound like they could be from an Elder Scrolls game, and when the flute comes in it sounds like it could be from the first Guild Wars.

This sounds a little like Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, particularly from about 1:50 to 2:11 sounds completely like it's from Oblivion, or at least should be in it somewhere.
