It is so awesome that you got to experience the FF14 nightlife/club scene. I am an FF14 DJ and club owner. It's always great to see content being made about this part of the game. Often, it is assumed that these clubs are some weird underground ERP thing. But in fact, the majority of these clubs/venues just want people to have a good time and use very minimal and light-hearted RP for immersion. Welcome to the real endgame!! The social aspect is unparalleled. Night clubs, theater performances, house parties, picnic luncheons, themed houses (holiday wonderland, haunted Halloween mansion, etc.), and every thing in between. And yes, there is housing in a future zone that you obviously can't access until you reach that point in the MSQ.
The first time I went to one of those clubs was definitely an unexpected and unforgettable experience in a great way! It's unlike anything I've seen in other MMOs, the energy is just great and going with friends makes it all the more fun! Glad you were able to enjoy that as well, also happy belated birthday! 🍰🎂

While I’m glad you’re enjoying the game, and people are free to play at their own pace, as is their right. I’ve noticed, that well new players will come to see your videos wondering if they should play FFXIV, and while you have said nice things. They been about the base game as you’ve yet to play through an expansion yet. And so while your opinion of ARR is definitively welcome. I think in your titles you should specify ARR, because the current state of the game after 4 expansions is very different than that of ARR in terms of game design, narrative (that in particular makes leaps and bounds in latter expansions) mechanics, jobs that are available to play, job animations, etc etc. believe me playing through the expansions is wholly a new experience than the base game, experience that will give you a new opinion of the game.
I think the Nightclubs really blew up during Covid. People were stuck at home, clubs had to close down... What better way to meet with friends and go to parties, than doing it ingame? :) I'm way to tonguetied to engage with roleplay, doesnt mean I dont like to just go to those parties and dance around. And if you're like me and not too much into roleplay, dont worry, people there will leave you alone and if they contakt you, its like a simple conversation.
