I cannot believe a raid with mechanics like this are required to be pug'd just to advance the main story quest and get into the expansions. Thank you for the guides. Looks like this is the last raid I will be forced to do as I try to hit cap.

As someone suffering from anxiety I cant even queue as a dps without SOME kind of prep. Your guides have made my journey through eorza so much better! Hope you grow more, you deserve it!

Wanted to let you know your simplified advice is still helping immensely 💚 Went into my first instance of this; tanks were improperly stancing, people were getting doomed without cleansing, but I sat there as my happy little dps remembering all you spoke of. Got 6 commendations cause i was ready at the tethers for Cerberus before anyone had to ask 🤘 Hope Dawntrail is treating you well and thank you again my dude

Had to slow this one down to 75% there's so many rapid-fire mechanics to keep track of. The MSQ sure ramps up difficulty quickly, yeesh.

Your guides are super helpful, and they've been saving my ass since I returned after a decade hiatus (quit shortly before Levi release lmao.) I watch a few times and write down the important mechanics, then tape it to the side of my monitor. It's worked really well, and I recommend it to anyone who wants a fight-by-fight reminder.

How the raid does during Angra really tells you exactly how the rest of the raid is going to go

You must've had to run this Raid a lot of times to get all of the footage of you getting tagged and debuffed!! It helps to see what it looks like so one knows what to expect. Thanks for that extra effort!

It took 9 runs. 3 runs I didn't even use a single frame of footage. Hahaha! It's nice when things actually go wrong so you're able to show what happens when it does indeed go wrong. 19 times out of 20 the run is completely uneventful, but that one time throws you a curveball that you've gotta deal with. Lol.

That's very true! Seeing the mistakes lets people know what to expect when it happens, so it doesn't freak them out so much. When I was first learning the Crystal Tower raids, the first several times through I was so overwhelmed by everything I just kept dying over and over. Like just leave me here on the floor! @@the_scrub

@@the_scrub i’m assuming, since you did not bring it up in the video, that you did not get a raid with DPS, so bad, you saw worms on cloud of darkness lol (yes, I am speaking from experience)

I can say that in all of my years of playing the game, ever since this was put into the Duty Finder, I've never had worms during Cloud. That honestly sounds terrible. DPS would be so low, you'd put it work cleaning out a septic tank.

I definitely agree with many players that this should never have been made a requirement, but the raid itself is usually very uneventful (even as a tank or a healer. Because there are other people who can cover for you if you are having a hard time)

It's mandatory because it contextualizes a *major* NPC you meet in Shadowbringers, as well as several events that occur after that.

Literally hopping into all these now and usually I wait about 5 to 10 minutes.. This popped me in and I had to watch while I played.. I felt a little lost during the cerberus fight but as a tank, I pretty much blindly attacked and took enmity, so it wasn't all bad. Although admittedly, my team went into Cerberus's stomach without me, which I'm really sorry for!

Are you planning on continuing into HW and beyond? Your guides are definitely the best for the current game. It’s nice not to have to sit through explanations for a bunch of mechanics that don’t even matter anymore.

I am definitely going to continue into Heavensward. I've just been recovering from being incredibly sick over the last month and a half. Got most of the scripts typed up and ready to go! Just haven't been able to record any audio. Hopefully, I'll be able to record that audio very soon and get the guides for the main part of the HW story before the end of the year.

For abandonment, does it matter if you stand with anyone, or do you have to stand with someone with the debuff? 7:16 cheeky casters can LB all 3 clouds so long as the LB goes off before the shields go up 😁

Can't believe so many people are bellyaching about this. Lol 4 man content in dungeons in the MSQ during the expansions is harder than the Crystal Tower raid series. If you can't deal with simple tethers, not standing in AOEs, or not effectively dealing with adds you should just stop playing or go buy yourself a story skip from the mogstation.
