Tbh I just start leveling scholar to level summoner and and as I play as scholar it actually a very strong healer, I do understand the complaints but it not a bad healer, well at first it was but as I got used to it, it very good and strong it actually Stronger then whm or maybe because those shield are awesome
What is weird though is that as SCH I enjoyed Zodiark extreme the most with Sages as co-Healers... because for some reason regen healers always tend to not do the one thing they are supposed to do (healing people up)... when you're with 2 shield healers both of you just know you have to support each other... and if you're on 2 different shield healers you can easily dance around the clashing shields problem through stack shields and mit. "Damage, what damage?" At least if they have the most basic understanding of how their job works, I detest those Sage who overwrite my spreadlo with their tiny GCD rather than throwing out even a single oGCD.
I will admit that Physick does occasionally have uses, it’s certainly a bit more helpful up to lvl 50 content, though I had completely forgotten that Cure had that extra 50 potency for no reason, lmao

i swear bro, i love SCH aesthetic but it is not. playable. i thought i was just poorly geared up but nah i got some crystarium gear and det and critical hit melds and still i feel like I'm struggling so much. switched to AST and that's when i realized just how broke SCH is. it's truly sad
true! i started with SCH as a beginner, but when i unlocked AST, burst heals were too easy that i realized how much weaker SCH is. I'm just a beginner so maybe there's another way to play scholar 😁
I still had all of my old scholar moves on a hotbar somewhere. ALSO! THE PET HOTBAR HAS EMPTY USELESS SPACES NOW AND IT PISSES ME OFF SO MUCH THAT I HAVE TO HAVE WHISPERING DAWN AND ILLUMINATION ON 'MY' HOTBARS SQUEEN WHYYYYYYYY
I don't know why anyone would play a job in a fantasy game that wields a book. We already have these jobs in real life. They're called college kids. Their skills are numerous but most identify them with skills like: 300k debt. Ramen noodle. Low paying career. Who tf would want to be one of them in a fantasy game?
Because some of us don't like to spend over 1000 mp for healing aoes only to get shat on by ungrateful cretons for bad healing. At least Schooler's aoes actually HAVE barriers. White Mages may have better healing potency, but they only have one barrier. Only one! For a single target! Not to mention Schooler's offensive capabilities being on par with White Mage. No. I'll take Schooler over White Mage any day.
