That's awful. And so not fine. Game is dead and they do not allow you to play those missions for the witch solo OR with AI. Seems they do not want people to enjoy the game anymore.
I've had Cid and Cindy spawn fairly frequently on "The Injurious Jabberwock" (Al' s or online, it didn't really matter). Plus you can farm "Dragon Horns" at the same time
Hopefully they’ll continue support for this multiplayer and add in extra story lines and items. P.s- I’m still pissed that demon slayer Iris never made an appearance...yet.
BLOODY__FATALITY yes I know but considering that the comrades dlc spans a ten year gap, don’t you find it strange that iris and talcot haven’t grown up. It was even stated in the main game that Iris trained with Cor and became a demon slayer.
As far as I understand, the main story of Comrades takes place only 6 months after Noctis disappeared, whereas the 10 year gap is when all the Glaives are fighting on Angelgard, so we never get a chance to see Iris punch a demon's skull into pieces, sadly.
Omnipresence well let us hope that iris training to become a demon Slayer is a future update for comrades. We still gotta remember that it only came out a week ago and is version 1.0
Got Cid 3 times in the last 2 hours on Cursed Coeurl. In this quest 2 toad drop 10 star "rare" Thick Toad Leg. I suspect Rare ingredients is how you can spawn him at a higher rate
I tested it with version 1.2.0 of the DLC, i cant confirm it working like he shows it, because now the buff stays on the character you were playing by the time getting this buff. So you can keep it by switching to another character or creating a new one, since the buff is probably on your main char, you end up playing with a level 1 again (or the level the other character currently is). So i would say switching/creating a char, farm some easy missions until you get this buff then switch back to your main char.
You're right. Now that I think about it, only buffs that aren't battle buffs (since those are wasted on your next battle anyway) benefit from being saved. So yeah, just the crafting and shop discounts you can abuse with this.
It still works (2017/Dec/28) and it's still easy: You make a new avatar or already made a second one. Use him not for missions, just change to him and buy the 30% Weapon remodel buff. How to do it: Farm the elementary fragments by the daily mission till you got 60 of all (10 per type daily - so after at least 6 days you have enough). Now you can exchange the fragments for a 30% weapon remodel buff at the old with beneath the avatar/costume guy (or whatever you call him). With the character you got the buff you remodel your weapons and just change to your primary combat avatar before you do missions again.
The Cid buff no longer transfers to a new character. However, you can keep it on the character that acquires it as long as you don't do a mission. So, the smart way, is create a new character and wait till you get the Cid buff. Then, transfer to your regular character and continue on. When you want to craft, you switch to your new character. Craft and switch back when you're done crafting. I did it the hard way. I got the 30% Cid buff on my level 72 character. I wanted to keep the buff, so I created a new character. With the kickass weapons I crafted, I leveled it back up in no time.
Can confirm he does spawn 25/5/2020... I was farming "A New King in Town". Food was 3 Mystery Meats lv1, 1 Exquisit Meat lv6. x2 same food kinda spawns him, maybe just chance.
I've also notice from watching various people's vid's that some of the ingredients have to be can of fish and mystery meat tin, those two repeat in all of the cid vid's that I have seen.
I'm not sure, nor do I have solid evidence, but I've read it on some posts that if u do the Cindy's escort quests u have a higher chance of getting CiD
My first time got Cid's buff were when i fought Giffon (Level 30 mission)... I collect some meat from Giffon or another birds around... then Cid just appear. It happened 2 days ago so I couldn't remember exactly to correct it. Maybe you should try it... or the mission where you fight some large Rooster, Chicken and have these meat. Sorry for my bad English bros.
I just made like 3 honabomi(correct me if you want) katanas fully upgraded. I knew about the buff staying until you initiate a quest, but not Cid appearing . But darn I am going to go get the kitchen knifes or the nameless blade and use this strategy.
Has anyone ever looked inside the game to debunk the fact that malboro tentacles are actually only level 5 and that with level 6 average items you would get the level 4 buff?
I got Cid giving me his 30% Boost Buff after doing the first Marlboro Quest (that you have to do in order to reach Meldacio HQ). I and 2 of the 3 CPU's acquired the Level 10 Marlboro ingredient, forgot what the other one had though and I don't know what we got for special Ingredients (of which I still don't know how you determine on getting them...)
I've been relentlessly grinding for over 3 WEEKS now (over 250+ quests) and didn't get Cid to spawn. I've got pretty much 99 of all good crafting materials, but am defiantly waiting for the old senile grandpa to show up his face. Square-Enix got it SO wrong of making the game's most important boon tied to an extremely low RNG %... and no "pity meter" whatsoever! There is a reason we typically don't see such system in other good RPGs: because it's simply STUPID!!! I can live with the fact that I'm trying to get a specific weapon with a low drop rate, but in Comrades, ALL my weapon will be 20%-30% worst due to pure random luck. If was not among the chosen ones to be honored by the cooking of Cid, I will be condemned to an existence of mediocrity... (Someone should be fired at Square-Enix for such disrespect toward players. With a simple "detail", Square-Enix managed to turn a decent DLC into something I now viscerally despise.)
Was this kinda sorta fixed, then? I just started playing and got a random item drop buff after my first mission, and noticed that it's "degrading" over time simply by being in the city.
@@LemonEatingKow Awwwww. I mean, if it degrades over time you can STILL put several crafts together, you just don't have infinite time. But shame. Oh well. Thanks for reply ^^
LemonEatingKow It not random, there is a specific ingredient that makes him appear. I know because I picked something I thought was weird compared to the usual ones and he popped up. Sadly I didn't give it much importance and don't remember the exact place I found it, but do try to look for it a the urgent mission whit the huge robot on the way to galdin port, might not be there but that's all I remember.
yes, but does it have an use for something. i know it's a letter from the kingsglaive movie from nycx (or something) but where does it lead in this game
such a shame really, in the main game you can get his awesome daggers from an enemie right before the final boss. and when i read the letter i expected something from it. such a waste of a griffon feather.
I tried this trick with a Cid 20% buff... created a character (named it Buffy so I would remember why I created it) immediately upon returning to Lastalum from Cid's meal, used that new character to upgrade a weapon and then switched back to my main character to continue quests. When I returned after another quest and pulled ol' Buffy out of the closet to do another upgrade, the bonus 20 % was gone. Did I do something wrong?
Infinity Blade is for trade in the Cauthess Depot, it requires one Behemoth's Tear, and three Malboro Mucilages. It starts out as Nameless Blade. The intrinsic perk is Rush Boost X and it has a free slot available.
Is the Cid buff patched yet? I haven't seen Cid as a camp chef at all yet or did Kimya replace Cid for the 60x60x60 Elemental stone Crafting Boost (Lvl 3)? Would be great if Cid's buff still works. I wonder if Kimya's Crafting Boost and Cid's buff can stack!? That would be AWESOME!
Is their any known way to make cid spawn for sure? I've beaten every mission and unlocked everything but never once has he spawned to cook. I've been saving up all materials since I've started but cant get him to spawn no matter what
Hey I just tried to put cure on one of my weapons when it was 68/70 and it didn't ask me to choose it just ate that item and I still have the same ability on it. How do I do it right so my behemoth tear don't go to waste?
Mahadeo S. I just started multiplayer a few weeks ago, by any chance do you know where this "post o potions" u speak of? Just like the other guy I am too curious if the buff glitch is still working or as you mentioned buyable
JT_Alpha post o potions is behind iris's shop. Theres a door to the back leftish area where a hooded witch shud be standing, but sometimes she doesnt spawn unless ur really close.
JT_Alpha also, this glitch no longer works. If u have the buff on ur main character and u create another character, the buff will not replicate on the newly created character. However, there is still a way to exploit this. U can create a new character and buy the buff from post o potions. The buff will stay on ur new character forever (so long as u dont play a mission on the new character to get another buff). U can switch to ur main character to play missions and such (buffs applied on ur main character will not change the buff on ur new character). Whenever u want to access the buff on ur new character u can simply switch to it and do ur buisness there, then switch back to ur main.
Hey can someone tell me what are the best buffs for the weapons? I mean when I reach level 98/99 and I want to use a Buff to stay in my weapon (a skill) what are the ones I should chose taking into account I Will use the Nameless Blade and Honibami
It is pretty great, but if you're using Honebami, the charge attack already crits and it hits twice, so Penetrator would be the objectively better choice. Plus Nameless' final remodel Infinity Blade is really fun with Penetrator is a lot of fun, it feels like you're actually slicing it to ribbons. Pretty great imo. But this is for like, pure strength dps what buffs he'll want all depend on his build. Like if he's a mage, he'll probably want Blizzaga from the Wicked Claws, etc. You get the idea. So it's all up in the air at this point.
Does anyone know if the reverse to this is possible? Can I create a new avatar, start using it until I get Cid, and then switch over to my main for the bonus?
cfighter95 No the entire exploit revolves around the buff never leaving cause you don’t go into missions with the character the buff is on. So if you used your main or the buff would disappear as soon as you do another quest
Matías Martínez Alvarado no oooo don't tell me that cause I was trying to get cid. Fuck them cause they covered it up by saying it was a small tech issue online. They suck balls. They fix that but not the loading screens or the mining glitches and stuff. Thus is why I hate game developers.
