Cant help but feel Porsche threw this one away, as Mercedes started the season with their older CLK GTR, Porsche had their 1998 car ready from the start the 911 GT1 '98 and they were quicker than Mercedes, for the first 2 races. However they failed to capitalise upon this, and incredibly Mercedes won both of these races with the CLK GTR, and of course when Mercedes, introduced their '98 new car the CLK LM it was game over for Porsche.
Right then on how many occasions were ether Riley w Ford or Elan power, or Panoz,, and-or James Weaver IE pro but non-factory driver the best of the rest?
