Fiac.. are what dreams are made of! I love how compact this unit is and doesn't need floor space and I should've considered one of these last year because all I needed was something for light duty. The Kobalt Quiet Tech compressor I ended up buying got retrofitted it with Prevost couplers, blue spiral hose and blow gun!
Thanks Pan. This unit really hits a sweet spot for me. I don't have a lot of space in my garage and I don't need a bigger unit as I am not going to use it for tools. I just wanted something for my "habit".
Scope of intended use seems to be too limited for the wide range of use cases for DIY detailers and around the hose activities. I see it displacing the need for an air compressor (as long as you don’t need to use pneumatic power tools), but you can buy a portable Ridgid or Milwaukee unit and get 90% of the same functionality as this unit.
Glad you enjoyed it! How did you discover my channel by the way? Welcome to my channel. You discovered one of the biggest car detailing channels on RU-vid as we surpassed 865,000 subscribers and we have almost 110 million views! I have been detailing for 25 years and I love to share my knowledge and passion with my viewers. You found the right channel to help you learn everything about detailing.
Sometimes it’s best not to overthink the moment. And it’s all about communication with your customers. In 25 years of detailing cars, I have never heard of a customer being unhappy about attentions to detail or anything happening other than them being repeat customers. But hey, I do understand your point, but that’s why detail shops have insurance. A car could also catch on fire just sitting in your garage. Or there could be an engine failure after a pro detailer details the engine bay. Should people stop detailing? I think you get my perspective on it.
nice video Pan, i just ordered the Tire inflator. I love my air system, got a 3hp air compressor with tornador and rotador to clean with. I wanted to ask you to do a video on cleaning alcantera and the top of the interior(roof). Keep up the good work and stay safe :D
There are also polishers that look exactly like the Rupes LHR15 MKIII polisher at half the price but they are just Chinese copies, not the real deal. So it’s not because a product looks like another that it means it’s identical in all ways. Just saying.
Hey Pan, love your channel, has helped me start my detailing business and is my first reference channel…thank you for what you do🙏 regarding interior use only, blowing out debris, tornador, or this?? I’m mobile so, more compact the better.
Thanks Anthony! A Tornador will be more practical and verstatile, as you can hook it up to your air compressor as well as all other air tools you might need. Pan, I'm new to auto care, and I do want to do regular maintenance washes on my car. However I don't want to spend a lot of time washing my car. If I can suggest a video, how about creating a video showing what methods/products you would use if you only had 30 minutes to wash your car. It would be great to see what products/methods you would prioritize with only 30 minutes. I love your channel, I've subscribed. Mike
Welcome to my channel. You discovered one of the biggest car detailing channels on RU-vid as we surpassed 780,000 subscribers and are getting close to 100 million views! I have been detailing for 25 years and I love to share my knowledge and passion with my viewers. You found the right channel to help you learn everything about detailing. This being a detailing channel, I don’t cut corners when showing my viewers how to do things properly. So unfortunately, for a proper wash in under 30 min, that is impossible. I take 45 min to wash my car, and that’s being efficient. If your car is only lightly dirty, you could do a quick rinseless wash in 20 minutes, like I showed here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-p58Y5qRd3OU.html Or if you want something in less than 10 min, just a quick contactless wash if you’re in a hurry and aren’t looking to get 100% clean results, watch my video here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DjlUZnBtLtg.html
@@PanTheOrganizer thank you so much for the reply and for the links to those videos. I'm excited to learn more about detailing and your channel is a wonderful resource! I'm definitely in the beginner category, but that's where everyone starts! I bought a 2000 PSI 1.1 GPM Greenworks pressure washer (I wish I would have gotten one with a higher GPM spec) and I bought the BOSS foam cannon system from Griots garage. I did my first foam cannon application last night with the Griots surface prep and the results were quite good! The car still has some spots and areas where I need to do the 2-bucket hand wash (I still need to buy buckets and car shampoo) and I still need to buy wheel/tire care products (I think I'm going to go with the Adams tire and wheel cleaner). I need to upgrade the hose and trigger gun on my pressure washer as well, and I need to buy a hose reel for the pressure washer hose. One step at a time! So much to learn and so much to get better at! Thanks again for your videos and your thoughtful reply to my question! Mike
Cool video Pan and the tool that caught my attention was the air gauge. Being a former racer I know a half pound difference in one tire can be the difference between winning and being the first loser. I’m going to give this tool a long look! Thank you for another informative video on making the shop better.
Would you recommend this to someone with a garage exposed to very cold or hot temperatures? I couldn't find any info for that in the link. Thanks in advance.
My garage is heated and cooled, so I have no idea how it would perform in a garage with no temperature control unfortunately. Perhaps try writing to FIAC and see.
Here’s a quick question….I’ve been shopping for a micro vacuum for occasionally though the week when I want to vacuum light dust, fibres or pollen that accumulates around the dash or seats but something that gets into the tight spaces and won’t scratch the dash. Something you can keep by your door or even in the car that actually has decent suction. Is there anything out there like that? It’s a pain to grab the shop vac every time my OCD flares up. 😆. Appreciate all the tips and tricks🤙🏻
Hey Pan! I washed, clay, polish, and seal my car paint with a good sealant a month ago. Now I want to wash my car again but I don’t know which soap to use, I don’t want to strip the sealant off my car paint, is there a good method to wash my car. Do you have any videos which I can watch to see which soap u would use and the steps I should use. Thanks!
Absolutely. I have a popular tutorial on washing your car here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7Koj5j2Es5U.html And my recommended shampoo for your sealant is this: amzn.to/3IASvdH

This is NOT made for use with Tornador tools. This is more for light jobs, and filling tires with air. Hence why you don't see me use my Tornador tools with it. For Tornador, you need a more powerful unit, here's the best bang for buck I bought in this video : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NlD6h5kaVGo.html
Non, il n'est pas conçu pour faire fonctionner les outils style Tornador malheureusement. Ce petit FIAC est conçu pour usage très léger comme souffler la poussière et débris dans l'habitacle, gonfler les pneus, etc.
Not sure it would have the sustained pressure needed for that type of application. This isn't to be used with Tornador style tools neither. The FIAC is meant for light duty use, like blowing car interiors or inflating tires for example.
For blowing out pads it would be best to use Tornador style air tools, like the Tornador Z-014 Air Blow Out Tool, and for those you need a stronger air compressor.
Never seen this one before and it actually looks like a great little unit that also has sufficient PSI for quick jacks so I would likely ceiling mount it near where I would park my car in the garage so I can just pull the it down and plug it straight into the quick jacks or inflate tyres and clean the interior as you did. Definitely saving the link and would be interested to know how it holds up with time.

Hi Nick, how much air delivery SCFM is needed and at what PSI to run a Tornador would you suggest? Been looking at the Husky 4.5 & 20 gal silent flows? Or need something more powerful then those? 😊
I will have a video on that topic coming soon. But according to Tornador, you need a unit capable of producing 5 CFM at 90 psi. So something that can sustain a good amount of air delivery.
This isn't to be used with Tornador style tools neither. The FIAC is meant for light duty use, like blowing car interiors or inflating tires for example.
This isn't meant to be a huge powerful compressor. This is more of a tire inflator and basic inflating jobs. Not meant for use with tools that have high air flow requirements. For example, I need a more powerful compressor to run my Tornador tools. For any issues with your unit, please contact the place where you ordered it from.

Well- since you asked I'll give you the long version. lol. I started watching the Obsessed Garage channel years ago and I've known about your channel for quite a while. But for some reason it never grabbed me. Ffwd to a few months ago I won the 10,000 giveaway at OG. After getting it all in and set up I bought a 718 S manual. I started doing the full decon/compound/polish. While watching videos on the process, yours popped up so I started watching them. It wasn't what I remembered and they were giving me really good tips so I subscribed! Congratulations on your channel success and I wish you more success in the future!@@PanTheOrganizer
I just like getting quality stuff and the Prevost blow gun was simply even better. It does exactly the same, it just feels better in hand. Haha. Overkill everything in my garage, is the name of the game.
Coooool 😎 What about changing summer and winter tires/wheels? May be an idea to do a video on ? 😉 Not really detailing of course but related as I want to change/store myself so I can detail them properly. Power wrenches etc... just thinking out loud 😊
I've had the Chicago Pneumatic version for over a year. Specs are the same and everything looks and sounds the same as this Fiac, for $160. Just looked and it's on sale for $129 on ebay. The CP version also includes a lot more, higher quality accessories. Read the earlier replies - CP is NOT a knockoff brand, it is an upper-mid tier manufacturer of tools and competes with Ingersoll-rand. No reason to get this Fiac version at all for U.S. viewers.
I am sure there are many knockoffs out there. Same goes for any tool in the detailing world. Look at all the copies for Rupes polishers from other brands. One thing is for sure, FIAC is made in Italy and the quality is there. Not sure about the brand you were mentioning though.
@@PanTheOrganizer After more research I found that FIAC has manufacturing in 3 locations, Italy, China and Brazil. Further research shows that this compressor is indeed made in China for FIAC and the other ones that are out there that look exactly the same (such as the one on Amazon I mentioned above) come from the same manufacturing plant in China. With that said that doesn't necessarily mean they are all equal when the products leave the plant. A company, such as FIAC, may insist on better components and higher QC from the manufacturer for their versions.
LOL !!! It just never stops. Wait until you see what I have coming in the next weeks... I stopped counting how much I spend on products and tools a long while ago. I have a problem, an addiction HAHAHA.
This isn’t powerful enough for use with Tornador tools unfortunately. This is meant for lighter duty use. For my Tornador tools, here’s the air compressor that I use: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NlD6h5kaVGo.html
Attends de voir le compresseur plus puissant que j’ai acheté pour usage plus intense avec des outils comme les Tornador. À suivre la semaine prochaine! ;)
This is not powerful enough for use with Tornador air tools. This is for light duty only as mentioned in the video. Come back next week for a new more powerful air compressor that I bought for use with Tornador tools. ;)
Matt and I are friends. So he doesn't make fun of me really. He just likes to poke. I have yet to see evidence that he is intentionally and maliciously making fun of me or my channel. But we get along quite well. No worries there.
As per usual, towards the end of August, or early September. This will mark the 6th straight year of this awards series! And this year's will be the best for sure. So many new products!
Thanks pan! Obsessedgarage always gets the best detail tools. I got the kranzler 1322ts pressure washer. And this air compressor looks good for a mobile detailer set up.
Thanks Michael. This isn't made for heavy duty use though, so for mobile detailers I will have another solution coming soon. The FIAC for example isn't made to be used with Tornador air tools, as it doesn't produce enough continuous power to drive those. The FIAC is perfect for light use as blowing interiors, or inflating tires.
It's very practical, but this isn't to be used with Tornador style tools neither. The FIAC is meant for light duty use, like blowing car interiors or inflating tires for example.
