It worked sooo good for me the first few weeks now I have so many issues with bad sites, crystallized, bent cannula, leaking sites

Been on Fiasp since it was released (the CVS pharmacist never heard of it, it was so new). I recall reading that the way it works, (the tingle) is that they use vitamin B* (I think) to irritate the site, thereby encouraging vessels to respond, precipitating in faster absorption. *Another typical incremental improvement brought to you by the diabetes industrial complex. I don't know but I suspect the effect might be stronger and more consistent in the form of an individual injection rather than the constant delivery by a pump. After a day or so, I think the site probably gets used to it.

As someone who switched to the pump recently, (and have had a couple months so far using fiasp) haven’t so far and noticed a difference between injecting and pumping its only my third pump but so far no leaks or occlusions, and it hasn’t seemed to hold completely the same strength as the first few weeks but barely noticeable really, I do notice it’s still faster than apidra by a good chunk

Hi Meg, your videos have been helpful since I am relatively new to diabetes and insulin dependence. I have been using Lyumjev with Omnipod 5 and Dash before that. Occasionally experience a slight burning during a bolus but seems to be related to the injection site being more sensitive. It seldom happens and is only a slight burning when it does happen. I do like the faster acting qualities and minimal pre-bolus requirement which work great for me.

So glad you've had a (mostly) good experience with Lyumjev! I just finished my bottle of Lyumjev-- posting the review soon!💛

Before moving to the Dash I was on MDI. Excellent control. Basal insulin was Lantus and bolus was Apidra. For me Apidra worked very well. When I moved to the Dash I was moved to Novorapid. Why they have rapid in its name is beyond me! 🤦‍♀️🤣 I asked my consultant if I could try FIASP. I’m still using it on the 5. There is a definite improvement in onset when compared to Novo but I still have to prebolus unless I’m fairly low to begin with. Sometimes it does sting but I’ve had worse pain so 🤷‍♀️. Unlike you I find it tails off faster than previous insulins so I’ve set the duration to 3 hours and that seems better. So for me it’s a step but a small step in the right direction. Thanks for your great video! 👍🏻💕

Fiasp works fine for me on Omnipod, no leaking, no stinging and no prebolus unless bloodsugar is high.

Been using Lyumjev for months now in the OmniPod 5. It is great not to have to pre-bolus. I was needing to do 15 minute pre-bolus with Humalog. With the Lyumjev I’ve noticed it doesn’t sting as much after a couple of months use. Not sure why the stinging isn’t as bad. Just glad I don’t need to pre-bolus.

Great review. Were you in Auto Mode the whole time? Curious if your daily insulin needs changed compared to Humalog. I bounce back and forth between Auto and Manual and wonder what Fiasp would do to my Manual Mode basals. Thanks for all you do.

Going from a Minimed pump, I started Fiasp along with the Omnipod about 6 months ago and initially it was fine. I am now however currently so completely frustrated and am changing to the tandem as I have had NOTHING but problems with the Fiasp and omnipod. I have marks and rashes all over my arms and stomach from constantly having to change the Omnipod site due to literally 50% of the time it does not stay attached to my skin or when it does stay attached, at about right under day 2 days in, I have to replace it due to excessive severe irritation, itching and redness at the site. I see now that perhaps it is the Fiasp insulin causing the irritations, or maybe it is both the fiasp and the omnipod? I am not sure but I do know one thing for certain is that I have never been so frustrated in my 25 years of being on an insulin pump than I am now with the Omnipod. I should have my Tandem within a week and I will continue with the Fiasp and see if that works better.

I'm so lost! I've tried changing my basal and bolus Insulin now currently on fiasp and Toujeo and my levels are terrible I jump from 3.5 to 21 then stuck high all day then go low over night!!! I've had enough of this 12years of chasing my tail and can't get the right advise or help 😢

Could you do a video on TID and pregnancy? Would you get pregnant as a T1D?

Your comment on Fiasp onset time is similar to my impression of Lyumjev. I can sort of, kind of, tell it is a tiny little bit faster than Apidra. Its better, faster. But probably does not make any difference in reality. I believe your Novo Nordisk Fiasp and Lilly Lyumjev are essentially the same. I have seen RU-vid videos talking about skin irritation with Fiasp. Lyumjev also has very minor irritation, reddening, after the pump cannula is removed. But it is pretty irrelevant.

I remember a few years ago I tried Fiasp when I was on mdi, and it really made no difference to me. I’m curious if it might be different now that I’m using a pump

Feel like it just slightly helps me spikes less just also cause I forget to bolus early a lot I'll peak at 145 or 14.5 however you want to see that number.
