Replacing the clutch in a 2013 Fiat 500. It's a known issue with these cars. I would definitely recommend buying OEM. Part one is mostly prep for removal of the transmission(battery box, axles, starter, bumper, etc.)
Great Videos, a big thank you. A couple of points. Firstly, the axle nut on my Fiat 500 0.9L is a 36mm not 35mm as described in the video (yours may be 35mm, mine is definitely 36mm so others should check their own vehicle) and I didn't have to grind nearly as much as you did. Mounted my new socket on an impact driver and rotated it on the running angle grinder - much neater result and I only had to do about 1cm or so. Second, the nuts on the back of the battery box/ECM are a pain to get to. You can umplug the ECM by lifting the latches from the centre up and outward from the centre then the plugs come out upwards. The ECM comes out attached to the battery box - much easier.
Man, you did such a great job the only complaint I have is I wish you had more lighting. I'm thinking about doing it on mine although I don't know if I could actually do it.
If I was to guess, I would think either the throwout bearing or the clutch itself. Is the squeal continuous or is it just during the actual pushing of the pedal?
Its a nightmare way to many parts to remove on the fiesta way easier even on my 2014 mustang 5.0 you just remove transmission bolt parts of exhaust manifold and that all
